Best Buy

Geoff, you probably know this already, but there was an article in my paper this morning that bestbuy.com was starting an affiliate program.

Best Buy to pay sites for forwarding customers

Best Buy Co. said Tuesday it is offering commissions to Web sites that direct buyers to its Internetsubsidiary, BestBuy.com.

Web site operators that sign up as affiliates and link to BestBuy.com will be paid when they route a visitor who makes a purchase, said Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Best Buy, the nation's largest consumer electronics retailer.

There is no fee for affiliating.

Commissions will be handled through Reporting.net, a password-protected site operated by Be Free Inc. of Marlborough, Mass.

Thanks for the heads up. We'll get signed right up.

Would that also give DVDTalk a commission if I order through bestbuy.com but pick it up in my local store?

Ooooh, that would be nifty! I get most of my DVD's from BB. Let us know!

Damn I just spent 400 there.

Yeah, if they let you order online and pick it up at your local store, I'd definately do that.
