Horror Hotel: "Spooks Run Wild (1941)" [The Monster Channel] - A group of delinquents spend a night in an old house inhabited by Bela Lugosi. Hijinks ensue.

9/2/23

Sexual Awareness (Sexual Satanic Awareness) (1972) [OtherWorlds TV] - The leader of a hippy sex cult mesmerizes women, then has sex with them.
Don't Go Near the Park (1979) [OtherWorlds TV] - An ancient man and his sister kill girls, rip open their stomachs, and take their youth.
80s Classic Halloween Commercials Vol. 7 [YouTube] - 22 minutes of Halloween and monster themed commercials. For some reason, YouTube peppered this one with lots and lots of commercials, screwing up the experience.
Invitation to Hell (1982) [Filmrise Horror] - A woman goes to a costume party at a manor house and isn't allowed to leave. There were so many commercials on this channel, it began to feel like the short movie breaks were interrupting the ads.

9/3/23

The Bleeding House (2011) [The Midnite Picture Show] - A mysterious oddball shows up at a house in the middle of nowhere, tells the people living there that his car broke down nearby and asks if he can stay the night. This was my first time watching this channel, and apparently their ad supplier was down, because the movie would stop, then it would look like it was loading some commercials, but it'd go back to the movie.

3 Hours till Dead (2016) [OtherWorlds TV] - Five irritating jackholes on a weekend camping trip run low on gas, stop at a secluded farmhouse, and get attacked by zombies.
Art of Darkness (2012) [OtherWorlds TV] - A woman takes a modeling job, and winds up locked in a basement with a killer. They show lots of these more recent British horror movies on this channel, and they all stink, yet I keep watching them.
Revenge! (1971) [OtherWorlds TV] - Shelley Winters kidnaps a man and locks him in a cage in her basement.

9/5/23

The Day of the Triffids (1962) [OtherWorlds TV] - A meteor shower blinds anyone who watched it, causing worldwide panic and disasters. Then ambulatory carnivorous plants attack the survivors. I haven't seen this one since I was a kid, and I've been meaning to re-watch it for years.

Trapt (Call Time, Call Time The Finale) (2022) [OtherWorlds TV] - Three inexperienced film makers, two actors, and a has-been director arrive at a movie producer's house, where they are supposed to make "the best horror film ever," only to learn that they are the "stars" of his film.

9/7/23

Death Spa (1988) [tubi] - Someone, or something, is killing people at a high tech health spa. This was my film for IBJoel's Early Bird Horror Watch Roulette.
The Amityville Haunting (2011) [tubi] - An obnoxious kid videotapes his equally obnoxious family as they move into the Amityville Horror house.
The Outwaters (2022) [tubi] - On this episode of America's Lousiest Home Videos: Four hipsters walk around in the desert.

9/8/23

Morbid (2013) [tubi] - A masked killer terrorizes a rural community in Tennessee. Roku suggested this movie based on my recent searches (which included the last two flicks), so I figured it could be rough going. Luckily, while not all that good, it wasn't as bad as either of them.
Toxic Alien Zombie Babes from Outer Space (2022) [The Monster Channel] - Aliens attack earth during the pandemic.

The Monsters Destroyer (Nostradamus y el destructor de monstruos) (1962) [The Monster Channel] - A K. Gordon Murray flick about a vampire named Nostradamus who is hunted by an old Mexican professor.

Woodlands Dark and Days Bewitched: A History of Folk Horror (2021) - A documentary about folk horror films and television.

9/11/23

When Michael Calls (1972) [OtherWorlds TV] - A woman receives phone calls from someone who claims to be her deceased nephew. People start dying.
The Tag-Along (2015) [tubi] - An old woman hiking in the woods becomes possessed by an evil wood-spirit which she carries back to the city, where it jumps from person to person.

Dark Age (1987) [B-Movie TV] - An Australian killer crocodile movie.
The Tag-Along 2 (2017) [tubi] - A social worker's pregnant daughter is taken to the mountains by the evil CGI ghost girl/forest spirit/demon thing from the first film.

Horror Hotel: "Lovecraftian Horror (Halloween Special 2022)" [The Monster Channel] - An episode featuring seven H.P. Lovecraft-inspired short films - Rood (2021) - A German short about an old door in a warehouse. / The Pickman Model (2019) - An artist explains how to paint monsters the Pickman way. / Backwoods (2019) - A guy on a bike ends up in an old house in the woods. / The Door at the Edge of Reality (2019) - Some young women perform human sacrifices and arcane rituals for an online audience. / The Black Tome of Alsophocus (2020) - An old book transports a guy to a Lovecraftian hellscape. / Psychopompos (2018) - Villagers battle monsters. / Eldritch Code (2017) - An I.T. guy battles a Cthulhu virus.

Jeruzalem (2015) [OtherWorlds TV] - Found footage flick follows two young women on vacation in Israel. After an hour or so of assorted soap opera and travelogue stuff, monsters attack.

Fear Chamber (Chamber of Fear) (1968) [OtherWorlds TV] - A group of rogue scientists, led by Boris Karloff, feed nubile women to a cave monster.
Kamillions (1990) [B-Movie TV] - A goofball scientist is sucked through a portal into another dimension just before two shape-shifting rubber monsters emerge... and don't do much.

Stale Popcorn & Sticky Floors (2023) [tubi] - A melange of short clips of low-budget horror movie actors and film makers telling anecdotes about various films they worked on.
