I would totally put up posters of all the year's banners! They are always so well done!

Appreciate the banner compliments!

Forgot to say the Joe Bob centerpiece is supposed to have a little symbolism. The tentacles protruding from the brain was meant as an homage to his Longhorn recliner, although I don't know if that was properly conveyed or not. I tried to do something similar for Elvira's 40th last year and failed miserably.

The Not Gremlins gang got a new member; you might say they got the "munchies" while high.

It turns out it was too wonky. I couldn't make it happen due to a major disruption of the formatting, but the link's still available in the first post.

I know a lot in here will be happy to see this. Unfortunately with a 10/25 release date the odds of it arriving before Halloween aren't very good.

This was a TV movie and almost certainly shot on video. Is hi-def going to be doing the material any favors? I've got the old BFI dvd disc and I suppose it'll be an improvement, but...assuming it doesn't sell out immediately, I'd like to see some reviews before I pop for it. Price doesn't seem to bad (exchange rates notwithstanding).

2 minute mark on that In Memoriam video, David Hemblen? Uh, that's a picture of Ron Rifkin (still with us, and born on October 31st, no less).

Since I've never watched Joe Bob Briggs, is he closer to MST3K or Elvira?

I really love Elvira's stuff, I just wish she would speak more often during the movie, especially considering a lot of what she covers is MST3K-level boring.

I guess as far as format goes he's closer to Elvira, minus the joke-a-minute schtick. I'm also an Elvira fan, but with Joe Bob he delves much deeper into analysis of the film and the people involved while mixing in some off the wall rants and occasional bits. It's almost like getting your own personal film school class each episode.

He also did a handful of commentary tracks in the early days of DVDs that were essentially the first Historian tracks even if they are billed as Comedy tracks.

From that banner, I’d totally be down for The Stuff vs The Blob.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 18th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Here is everyone I have marked as participating for a random September watch (Alphabetical order). Please let me know if you would like to be added or removed.
Spoiler:
Clckworang
Darkgod
Darth Maher
Gobear
Indiephantom
Mallratcal
Mrcellophane
Numbercrunch
Orlmac
Shadokitty
Shellebelle
Tbone22
Toddarino
Travis McClain

In case you missed it: To win one of the IB prize packs this year, you must watch a randomly assigned horror movie during the month of September and let me know when you've done so. Once this is completed, you will be entered to win and I'll send out the prizes mid-October.

P.S. I have already assigned films for those listed and 5 of you are "taking the bullet"

Send me the worst thing you have, I can take it.

I know this won't count for the Horror Challenge, but I want to add it to my list just for fun. I hope that's OK.
