Is it me, or does David Lynch need another jacket? The one he's wearing has both elbows worn?

The 2022 feedback thread is UP.
Unanimously voted our #2 most unpopular thread (after this)!

Alright, the winners' packages will send out today. As usual, I stuck address labels on at random, so even I don't know what you're getting!

Glad you like it! I wanted to do something a little different for one of the boxes with what we had in hand, but was unsure how the eventual receiver would feel about it.

It was a hassle trying to record everything on the VCR, and I only managed a few weeks of watching. Though I liked the series fine ... it was just an inconvenient viewing method. Though the pace is extremely leisurely, it's very easy to just settle into the flow of the show.
That was from my list post for the 2016 October Horror Challenge. 5 years and 7 weeks later ... I finished the set!

Well, there's a case (5 DVDs) with assorted extras that I haven't watched. But yesterday I finished the 1,225th (and last) episode of the show. Thankfully it wrapped up the story in the last episode, despite a goofy vampire attack fake-out. The last 45 or so episodes were rough. It was an ok gothic horror story on its own, but a horrible decision to just shift the entire show to a parallel 1841 time (with none of the established characters).

The set is still in print but it's awfully pricey. It hasn't been any cheaper than $450 for years. Although it's a beautiful set and there are hundreds of hours of content, but at that price you'd have to already be a huge fan of the show (or rich). I think all of the episodes are still streaming on Amazon Prime, which seems a great way for beginning viewers to get a taste of the show.

Could have sworn it dipped to $300 sometime last year. I’ve almost bit on it several times, but really shouldn’t. Congrats on finishing!

Ah, you're right. Looking at the camelcamelcamel.com Amazon price history, it did go to $300 (and $290) for a brief period in 2020. And it drops under $350 a few times a year. Still pretty pricey. There was one Black Friday sale in 2015 when it was $225 (which was when I'm pretty sure I bought it), but nothing else has ever come close to that. Maybe this'll be the year!

For you Shudder fans that join and then cancel for the month of October, here is a great deal: AMC+ which includes Shudder for one year for $24!

12-Month AMC+ Streaming Subscription (slickdeals.net)

I noticed that AMC+ had a lot of horror movies that Shudder did not have this past challenge as well for whatever reason.
