Given the fact that I've had my new car for exactly 8 days, I didn't want to risk anything. I finally left a little after 7. I had some seriously close calls where I thought there was a really good chance my car would take in water. Luckily, my car and I made it home in one piece around 8.

Then the nearby plug I use to charge my car wasn't working! I spent a lot of time trying to get it working before deciding to try the far outlet in the garage. Luckily, the charger was just barely long enough to reach.

Needless to say, a very late start. I went back and finished the movie I didn't make it through last night. Number two is on. Hoping to squeeze in one more before sleep. We'll see.
I'm definitely behind on where I planned on being as well with the Challenge, though I'm only shooting for (31) films due to my teaching schedule this year.

I decided to skip seeing Titane on Friday (which I had already bought tickets to), instead hanging out with friends at a TCG Tournament, which I got 1st place in!

I'll probably re-buy tickets for Titane for Sunday and just watch it then.

Finally finished up The Evil Dead (1981). Absolute classic.

Can't believe this film is 40-years old. It was my first time watching it in 4K and I definitely want to watch more of my 4K Horror Collection for this Challenge!

Congrats on your win!

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of watching an episode of What We Do in the Shadows this morning. The opening song is now locked in my head.

For today's theme I watched Aquaslash, about a slasher at a water park, and boy, was it bad. Poorly acted and written, the film delivers tepid kills until the grand climax when there is a mass slaughter and there are torsos and severed limbs in the pool.

I watched the main feature of this release last night. I highly recommend this release if you like trailers. It includes some of the coolest intros, commercials, break-ins etc. as well as several trailers I surprisingly had never seen before. Some were so wacky it almost felt like they were created just for this release.

The presentation is fantastic and well edited together. It makes for one of the best trailer compilations I have seen. There were a few times I wondered if they had dickered a little with the original trailers...but then again, trailers were so wacky back then, it is almost impossible to tell.

Just an FYI, the limited edition with the slipcover is still available at VS. Only 759 still available. Grab it if you want it because once their slip versions sell out, they can cost much more than when first released. Plus, if you don't want it anymore, you can sell it for 2 to 3 times more than you paid for it. The AGFA Horror Trailer Show [AGFA] Vinegar Syndrome

Decided to put on The Clovehitch Killer as it is always popping up on my list of things to watch. Didn't know today was serial kill/slasher so already got the theme for the day knocked out. Very interesting movie so far.

Got my second COVID shot yesterday. Feeling kind of drained today. May have a slight fever, too. Currently watching the subset pick, Silent Madness, with Doogie Howser's mom. I don't think I like it very much.

Congrats! Which TCG did you play? I used to be big into Magic the Gathering, but haven't played in years. I sold all of my cards a couple of years ago that I had bought back in the late 90's.

I always hear that second shot is harsh. It's why I understand people not getting it. Hope it passes for you quickly.

Took some Advil about an hour ago and already feeling better. My arm wasn't as sore this time as the first. But my energy level was gone. I'd rather have a rough couple of days than die on a ventilator.

Yes, the second shot can lay you out. That reaction shows that your immune system is getting the message. Do not fool around with this, you NEED the second shot for full efficacy. This disease killed my sister and my oldest cousin last year before they could get vaxxed. As MysterioMan007 said, I'd rather feel crappy for a day than gasp to death on a ventilator.

My cousin was in the ICU with COVID back in April for three weeks. Now he is on oxygen and can no longer work.

I wanted to comment on Feast (2005), from earlier. This was a whole lot of fun, and I had never heard of it. I recognized that dude who was slowly falling apart through the entire movie, as the dude from the Dave Matthews video, Everyday. Going to watch the sequels tonight.

I love Feast (2005). Gory, fun, and badass. The sequels were pretty bad, though.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 17th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/31)

Really enjoying today's theme on a rainy, dreary day. I had an absolute blast with a Savage Weekend, Death Screams and Silent Madness (in 3-D) triple feature. All first time viewings.

The day did take a slight downturn as I was about to watch SM and my TV (Samsung KS8000) bit the dust, or least I thought it did. I spent almost 2 hours trying practically everything, and some online research saying some are know to just die after 3 - 4 years wasn't very encouraging. I was in the midst of switching to watching on my desktop exclusively until seeing my cat's head pop out the back of the TV. Turns out she had knocked the power cable loose. Yes, I did check it first thing, it just happened to be the wrong cable.

I realize that's a partner label, but that's how I find justification in purchasing a VS subscription. If you wait until the slip sells out you can always, at the very least, recoup your money on any title you don't care for. Sometimes the slip alone will do it.

I watched Curtains for the first time and really enjoyed it. The cast is first-rate and I was guessing until the very end.

Very sorry you lost family. And totally agree about the vaccine.

Watched Silent Madness tonight (it was ok) and two Friday the 13ths. Slasher city!

It's a catchy theme, I don't blame you.

Thank you! I attended another local tournament this afternoon and got 2nd.

Didn't have any time to watch any films at home but I did manage to make it to a screening of Titane (2021) after the tournament finished. Got to the theater just as the film was starting

Thank you! At Friday's tournament (and at the tournament I attended today), I played Dragon Ball Super.

I played MTG competitively for a really long time, starting with Revised in 1994, only playing casual now for the past 1-2 years.

That was a good time to sell them. A lot of the old/rare cards have held their value quite well.

Yeah. I am thinking about resubscribing this year on Black Friday. Did it a few years back and wasn't real happy with the quality of movies I got. A lot were total shit. But then I was able to recoup easily the cost of the subscription on the ones I got rid of. And know that they are doing 4K, it seems the quality of their schlock got a little better...at least from some of the trailers that I have watched. But it is always a gamble with them. Some of the movies they release are just horrible. But it is awesome a company would give such stinky films such lavish treatment.

I know this isn't horror but has anyone watched their release of "Champagne And Bullets" because I watched the trailer and it looks fantastically awfully awesome. Thinking about picking it up.

Anyone else have trouble deciding what to watch on these streaming services, hoping it might be good, but not 100% sure if you want to take the gamble?

Count me as another that received the Imprint version of Brotherhood of Satan... oh well, worth the risk, but definitely going to try to exchange or get a refund.

So for today's theme, it's buried alive? So at one point in the movie, someone has to be buried alive, correct? And that will count?
