But I'm always looking for new titles of course. Children of the Dammed bluray comes out Oct 26. So I'm looking into that also.
Kino's Shocktober sale starts on Monday, 10/5, and should include 850 titles. Free shipping at $50.00. I don't know when Shout will have their horror sale, but it should be soon.

Just placed an order for Road Games, Slither, The Untold Story, and Evil Dead Trap, which will arrive on Friday. I have been saving up blind buy titles on bluray for months so I've got a lot of good stuff lined up. Looking forward to getting started. I just need to pick a good Criterion release for tomorrow night.

PSA: Road Games is available to watch online for free at archive.org. I will start with Wildling because it's leaving Netflix, then Road Games, then The Flesh and the Fiends.

What 11 servicers are you using and what's the top 2?

So is Malignant still worth watching if the big reveal was spoiled for you twice on the same day?

As someone who hated the twist, I still enjoyed the movie.

Less than 24 hours to finally watch it and see if it lives up to the ending hype.

Oh man, I tried to stay away from any social media and the ending still got spoiled. I didn't really see the ending as a twist, as the filmmaker seemed to be as subtle as a sledgehammer to the face. This one played really straight for me, and I'm not entirely sure what all the hype was about. This is one of those movies where I just wished CGI would just go away, even though a bunch of money was put into it.

I didn't care for it. Many times, I felt like I was watching a video game.

I'm using Tubi TV, Shudder, Showtime, Netflix, Arrow, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Paramount+, Hoopla, Crackle and Peacock. I know that that's 12, I added Peacock after my post. You may not consider Tubi TV a service because it is free and has commercials but as much as I hate that it sure does have a lot of choices. I plan on Showtime being a free 7 day period and then dropped. The top 2 are Shudder (15) and Amazon Prime (10). HBO Max has 8, Arrow and Tubi TV has 7 each and Showtime has 6. The rest are all under 5 each. I could have easily increased my numbers from HBO Max and Arrow but I will be using them after the challenge. Arrow is the best price at $4.99 a month (the first two months half price). I will be getting HBO Max free with AT&T when my monthly subscription runs out. We live in a gret time with the variety available for reasonable prices (not counting HBO Max, Netflix and Hulu). I also am getting 22 movies through my local library sytem. I try to save my personal movies until the day I can't afford some of these services or can't drive to the library as easily. Of course, by then I probably won't be able to enjoy them but I'm obsessive that way.

I didn't find it all that great either, especially for all the buzz that it was getting.

Sorry to hear that you are off to such a bad start. Maybe when we can start the actual challenge tonight things will clear out for you and you can have fun setting up what you want to watch for the checklist. Of course, as long as you are working doubles it doesn't sound good. Hope that can stop soon.

Does anybody else have the same problem as me where their friends and family want to go out and be all social in October? Like, do they even know me??? If I AM going to go "out" it isn't going to be out to dinner or drinks, it has to be something Halloween related.

What version of Brotherhood of Satan (1971)? I've accepted that's what I'm getting. I don't have the movie so it's not a total disaster. The Silver Screams box set are still available from the Imprint website so I went ahead and ponied up.

Friday i have to get some long overdue filming done on my movie so that will eat up some precious time. I might also have to take a road trip Saturday to pick up some vhs tapes, but at least some are horror.

I also signed up for Showtime on my iPhone. However, maybe Apple is different, because I got a 30 day trial. Thinking of trying a Peacock trial for Halloween Kills. I have a year of Apple TV +, but other than The Great Pumpkin, I donít see much there. Besides Amazon Prime, I also have some digital purchases on both Amazon and Google Play. Luckily, I have unlimited data on my cell phone plan, since my internet has been out for 2 days now. Also, being I am on an unlimited data plan, I get HBO Max for free, and I have paid subscriptions to both Disney+ and Discovery+.

That makes three of us. I'm interested to hear what others think, but I was expecting a bit more given the huge amount of buzz.

I'm thinking of jumping back to Shudder once the new VHS drops. Curious if there is a promo code for it. I found out about Tubi last year and they do have a lot of great stuff. Never heard of Hoopla so may have to check it out and also Arrow as I didn't know they had their own thing.

I'm glad I'm not the only one behind. I usually start pulling qualifying titles at least a week early. I just started last night and will finish up after work. I'm excited as always, but it sure seems to have crept up on me.

I'm supposed to go do dinner and maybe a couple drinks with a couple of friends on Saturday. I'm not exactly pleased by that, but we'll see how late they manage to keep me out.

I get Hoopla through our library. They have a pretty good number of movies. When you browse through Arrow keep going down. They have an amazing number of movies when you dig down deep. I have stayed with Shudder since last year even though I only look at it occasionally to see what Joe Bob Briggs is doing. Now they may have Elvira, that would be interesting also. I haven't heard of any recent codes.

The Shudder code that was available last year still worked earlier this month. It was a pretty easy one to find on google.

I was looking ahead at tomorrow for TCM, and much like last Thursday, until the prime time movies hit, they are playing horror movies all day long.
