Since it's a late start, I'll begin with Trick or Treat (1952) (short), then Adventure in the Center of the Earth (1965) and finish with the first ep of season 4 Castlevania.

So I'm hosting streaming copies of all* the subset films as usual, but doing it a little differently this year. Instead of finding the links in the individual discussion threads, please PM or email me and I will send you a link to the whole folder.
* (Well, almost all. Don't know if it's worth the risk + time taken away from my movie-watching to get the Oct. 31 pick up when it comes out mid-month... )

The subset discussion threads are up in the Reviews and Recommendations forum.
I'll also mention the usual streaming links are included for the premium streaming services. All the ad-supported services like Tubi are listed in the newly added streaming guide link that directs to the theme/subset list with all the streaming links I posted earlier.
Where's the theme/subset table? Working on it! Hectic week.

After tomorrow, I am on staycation until October 8th, so I hope to be damn active for the challenge this year. Starting to gather a watchlist. I think things will explode in the forums in a couple of days.

The poster art chosen is amazing. I also love that you can see additional poster artwork at the click of a button. Maybe that feature was around in years before, but I just noticed it.

I am ready to put on Malignant finally. Trying to find the interesting horror movies and add it to my Que on the streaming sites I'm sub'd to. Think I will mainly be streaming this year. So if anyone comes across anything good, lmk.

Great work as usual, and I'm excited. One thing I noticed is that under my pick of The Collector it says selected by Fist of indiephantom. Not sure if we are combining members names now or if that is a typo?

The extra posters have been around, just made it a little easier to find than in previous years. I might have to add a few more after just now noticing my favorite place for high res exploitation/horror poster art is back online after being gone for months - Wrong Side of the Art. So many banner images and subset posters are thanks to them.

If you were planning to watch Wildling (2018) (one of the subset movies) on Netflix, I just saw (while looking for movies I might watch next month on Netflix) that your last day to watch it there is tomorrow (9/30).

Things have been crazy working up to the first, but I've got the first week of titles pulled. I thought I had the Shout version of Road Games, but when I finally found it, it was the Umbrella blu. Strange how some of these titles end up with us. I'm planning on starting with that one, then possibly working my way through Eclipse set, When Horror Came to Shochiku. Good luck everyone, and hope all goes well.

My decision on my first movies was easy. I'll start with Road Games and then watch my three movies from Paramount+ since I can't find when they are leaving, The Rift, Schizoid and Whoevr Slew Auntie Roo. I hope to watch all of them before I go to sleep on the friday a.m. I was lucky and was able to switch to a library dvd for the wildling since it is leaving Netflix.

I'll probably watch Wildling tonight. I'm not planning to watch all the subset movies anyway, so watching one early, before it counts, won't hurt anything.

I'm not sure what my first movie will be but I'm definitely going to watch Malignant either Friday or Saturday. I've been saving it for the challenge and I can't wait to watch it.

I never plan out what I'm going to watch and just kind of go with whatever "feels" right to watch. That said, I'm going to try and get the subset picks in this year where I haven't the past couple of years eve tried to do so.... I can't believe it's already time tomorrow to begin! I'm excited.

Time is really flying. Typically have my list banner done by the start of the challenge, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.

Yeah, time has flied by, I haven't even tried to figure out the movies in Chad's "poster" this year. I really need to spend some time on it.

I’m champing at the bit. Currently trying to figure out which movie I want to start with tomorrow night. Now that indie movies are added, that opens up a lot of possibilities. Last night I was watching Haunted Hospitals , and the lady relating her story had a creepy one about a possessed patient. She said she could literally see the devil in her eyes.

I know what you mean. I will be using 11 different streaming services so far this year. I feel sure that some of the movies I am planning to watch could leave at the end of September (ha ha, that's tomorrow) but only the really big, popular services seem to report that, and even then you don't know if they are reporting everything or just the most popular.

In case it's of any interest to any of my fellow Trekkers, here's a list I made on Letterboxd of every horror movie that includes every actor credited in the main titles of every Star Trek series or film. There were 495, so I added John de Lancie to get it to an even 500.

Did anyone get the Imprint horror movies yet from Fishpond? I got the order today, and they sent Brotherhood of Satan instead.

Mine's due between the 30th and the 8th. Fingers crossed.
Edit:
I think I got dinged too. The page does say Brotherhood of Satan, even though the page title and picture are of the box set. I may have been too excited by the price to notice. If it seems too good to be true...

Not that I have seen lately. But you can almost always expect some titles to go on sale for Halloween sometime this month. Keep an eye out. You know I will.
I bought The Fog Blu-ray. Rear Window, which may or may not be horror but it's close. and shout factory's Brotherhood of the Wolf bluray release last month. Just to name a few. But I'm always looking for new titles of course. Children of the Dammed bluray comes out Oct 26. So I'm looking into that also.
