Multiple thanks are in order!

First, a huge "thank you" to Travis, for running a laid back but most enjoyable Challenge!

Second, super-big thanks to pacaway for living in Canada! When he declined the Hamilton Book prize package, Travis emailed me to let me know that random.org picked me as the replacement winner. Woo-hoo!

And lastly, monster thanks to GoldenWheels and Hamilton Books for supplying the prize packs! I received mine in the mail today, and I can't wait* to dig into the Blu-rays!

And one more thanks, this one a general one to all of the participants this year--I'll hang out and talk arthouse and indy flicks with y'all anytime!

*Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait until November 1st, due to the OHMC and a crazy work load, but I'm excited!

P.S. As far as the feedback that Travis asked for, I DO plan to participate next year, and I DID use the checklist. I think that the checklist could be done in a manner similar to the one used for the OHMC, but I like that it can be completed without undue hardship. I was getting close, but I ran out of steam. And I agree with pacaway that maybe a weekly group watch would be a way to trigger more discussion, but figuring out the best way to implement that will require quite a bit of thought.

I'm still trying to find a winner for the last prize pack, y'all. I notified the third alternate on Sunday and still haven't heard anything as yet. But I promise, I am still working on it!

Travis, correct me if I'm wrong, but I was the winner of that last prize pack, as I got the last Blu-rays left on the list and didn't get a choice as to which ones I wanted. I PMed both you and GoldenWheels, and I've already received the prize pack! That's what my thanks were for a few posts up.

Yep! I got a PM from Travis yesterday, which I just saw a few minutes ago, that I was the 4th try. What a pleasant Tuesday morning surprise!

Thanks Hamiltonbooks (Goldenwheels) for the prize!

For those wondering, here's what Travis said is in that "final prize package":
  • 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag
  • Adventures of Hajji Baba
  • From Noon Til Three
  • In the French Style
  • Rapid Fire
I'd only heard of one film in the group, 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag, so looked up the others. It's an interesting sounding mix of action, adventure, comedy, drama, and crime films spanning the years from the 50s to the 90s.

Again, I'm not trying to say anyone's wrong, but I got that exact prize pack in the mail over two weeks ago.

I'm not trying to burst your bubble, BobO'Link, but I think that Travis may be confused and/or has forgotten that he sent me this DM on October 1st:

Congratulations! The original randomly picked winner of the week 4 Indie/Art-House Challenge prize is unable to claim it due to not having a deliverable U.S. address. Provided you do, you're the new winner! You'll receive the Twilight Time Blu-rays of:
  • 8 Heads in a Duffel Bag
  • Adventures of Hajji Baba
  • From Noon Til Three
  • In the French Style
  • Rapid Fire
Please inform me where to have your package shipped.

And, like I said, I've already sent in my address AND received the prize package, so unless there's a duplicate prize package, it's been long claimed.

That is a nice "final prize package"! I wish I could have won that, particularly the Charles Bronson film. It looks like two people got lucky!

Interesting - guess I'll find out soon enough. And if I *didn't* win one, that's OK too as I never participate to win anything - just to have fun. :)

Did you PM Travis or Goldenwheels with your info? If Goldenwheels, that could easily be why Travis thinks there's still one up for grabs...

I don't participate to win, either, but it's certainly a nice lagniappe when I do win something!

I PMed Travis directly with my mailing address; I didn't send a message to GoldenWheels regarding it, so Travis had to have sent my addy info to him.

I screwed up, y'all. I didn't update my records when I finally found a home for that fourth prize package. I make no excuses. I have PM'd BobO'Link regarding the matter.
