Safe Lists
The following lists are Automatic Safe lists. They are not definitive and there might be exceptions therein, especially concerning Distributors. Generally, the presence of those on the lists in an actual creative capacity (that is, more than just a cameo or bit part. For instance, Bruce Campbell appearing in Spider-Man does not make Spider-Man safe) is enough to make a film safe. Got more? Post them and I'll update the list. Obviously, films not including these participants are safe, too. Update: I added several new names to the actors list. Some of these actors appeared in actual big budget Hollywood fare, but most of their career was in B-Movies, then obviously discard the Big Hollywood movies and just watch the B's (For example, William Shatner. Ignore Star Trek movies but anything else is fair game. Or Patrick Swazye. Ghost is probably not right, but most of his other films were B-Movies).

Added Krimi. Was surprisingly unfamiliar with those, but I did know about the Edgar Wallace films. Technically starts tonight, but, as usual, we can start early. I tucked into Al Adamson already.

If you're looking for some G-rated exploitation fun for the whole family, Al Adamson's Carnival Magic was rated G.

B-Movie TV On Demand looks like it might be my most visited channel in April. I've been neglecting a lot of the trashy Euro-Filipino war/action films throughout these challenges and it looks like I'll finally give more of them a shot!

Thanks for mentioning that. I hadn't looked at it for a few months (but I know he added some stuff not too long ago). Unfortunately I didn't see anything on there that I haven't seen before, but I might re-watch something if the need/mood arises.

I hope they show some new stuff on the main channel in April. I've already looked, and I've seen everything they're showing tonight. I've been watching a lot of OtherWorlds TV recently. They show the same 12 movies Mon. - Fri. (4 hours earlier each successive day), and use the same software as B-Movie TV (so you can time-slip and watch stuff at times other than the scheduled time).

EDIT: Not a recommendation (because the movie's not very good), but Agent 11 (2020), available on B-Movie TV On Demand, was shot on an iPhone. If you want to make a movie, but keep telling yourself you can't afford it, take a look.

Earlier this morning, I was browsing Tubi on my PS4 before the rest of the family got up, and saw that there is a large selection of movies in the Cult section. There was over 200 of them.

I started out last night with a couple of action movies that would also count for the A/A/C/M challenge. One was Martial Law which was Cynthia Rothrock's first American movie. I really liked it and it looked pretty classy despite the low budget. David Carradine played the big bad. I started out today with the first disk in the Herschell Gordon Lewis Feast box and Scum of the Earth. Very entertaining. I also checked out some of the interviews related to HGL's early career. All were worth watching. Next I think it will be on to Blood Feast.

I just got done watching *Fists of Fury there (Cynthia Rothrock hosting martial-arts trailers) Granted, I hit the pause button a few times thanks to errands and such, but man, those ad pop-ups! It felt like a 4-Hour show. I'm looking at no more than 2 movies there for the rest of this challenge!

*And I'm still scratching my head as to why Charles Band chose that title for this.

Ads on Tubi can be all over the place. I've had one or two interruptions during a movie, and ad breaks every 5 to 10 minutes, with four or five ads each break before. I don't know what causes the differences, so I avoid watching it too often.

I think today will be a biker movie day for me. I already checked out Nam Angels (Hell's Angels in Vietnam) and up next will be Savage Dawn (biker gang vs. Vietnam vets). After that maybe The Hellcats (female bikers).

Lash of the Penitentes showed up today. Surprised they didn't make this a double feature like the rest of the collection. It's less than an hour. Finally cracked the seal on Criterion Bruce Lee. As many years as I've been doing this, I can't believe I never got around to Way of the Dragon.. Don't think I've ever actually watched Game of Death, either.

Ugh, was really looking forward to spending all day watching movies, but a transformer blew up in my neighborhood, and I lost power less than halfway through Slave of the Cannibal God.

Re: 12th Annual Drive-in/Exploitation/B-Movie Challenge. April 1-April 30, 2021

I was going to start a trailer compilation today, but I noticed I had failed to keep current with releases, so I ended up ordering volumes 2 & 5 of Trailer Trauma and 4 & 5 of Drive-in Delirium. What stuck in my craw was that Volume 3 of Trailer Trauma is out of print; you can only get 1, 2, 4, and 5. This tasks me.

Anyway tomorrow I think I'll start Drive-in Delirium Volume 2 - The Offspring, the dvd set which offers nearly 12 hours of trailers, rather than one of the blu releases which only offer 3-6 hours of hi-def trailers. I may just watch in one hour chunks or perhaps, by section, Giallo A-Go-Go (it looks to be about an hour long) and We Are Going To Eat Your and Don't (the two combined look to be about the right length) for Monday, etc... for the rest of the set.

I don't crack these trailer compilations has often as I could.

Being Easter, I suppose today would be a good day for eschploitation. Might watch If The Footmen Tire You, What Will The Horses Do? tonight.

I was thinking about watching Doctor Cyclops but it did get nominated for an Oscar (for SFX) and was one of the first color Sci-Fi movies. I dunno, was this movie the Avatar of it's day?

Not just color - it was shot in full three-strip Technicolor. It wasn't truly a "B" production, though it wasn't well received (critics mostly panned it). That said, it *did* fall into the "Late night horror host" TV cycle so could be included for that reason alone.

Saw a post on Facebook from Off Beat Cinema from yesterday that it was Roger Corman’s birthday. Wish I’d have known at the time.

Some of the earlier challenges had birthdays, but I've never had the energy to go back and compile them. If it helps, John Waters is April 22. He will be 75.

I guess I should've watched my 3-D Nudie Cuties Collection Blu-ray today.

Re: 12th Annual Drive-in/Exploitation/B-Movie Challenge. April 1-April 30, 2021

I knew I knew Albert Dekker’s name from somewhere. I watched one of his movies on YouTube just 2 nights ago, Gammera The Invincible. Last night, I watched one of my all time favorites, also on YouTube. Killdozer . YouTube seems like a veritable treasure trove of B Movies. While I was in bed, but with insomnia last night, I decided to turn my phone on and browse YouTube.

Just read in one of the horror movie groups I’m in on Facebook that today is Kane Hodder’s birthday.

Speaking of Youtube. See this. I command it.
It was a previously lost movie that just popped up. It's like the Room, but miles better. Some weird dude with unlimited money made his own movie. Is it good? Doesn't matter. It's made for this challenge and you won't regret watching it.
