Finally got around to finalizing my list.

And adding my thanks to LJG765! I had a... really rough June, and the escapism of watching a bunch of SFF in July was exactly what I needed. I appreciate that you keep the challenge pretty loose and super friendly, but still put thought and effort into putting together/refining the checklist. (I am one of those people who will waste a good bit of my watching time trying to pick out something to watch, so having the checklist helps guide my choices so I actually decide on something in time to watch it. Plus I just really enjoy checking items off of lists, LOL.)

Quick reminder, that tonight, 11:59 p.m. is the deadline for a completed list. Not saying I'm doing the counting at 12 am, but it's possibility! But also, keep your eyes open here, because I will be posting the winners here (and p.m.ing them)!

Also, let me add my signature to the Thank You card for LJG765 for hosting! Some hosts get a bit prickly about critiquing the checklist once the challenge is underway, so I appreciate your openness. Well done!

I don't mind suggestions and plus, the check list is for participants. I want to make sure it works for people and isn't tedious to do, if that makes sense. The whole challenge is done to have fun, entertain us, and sometimes get us out of our comfort zones, but really, I just want it to be enjoyable, so feedback is totally welcome! :)

I'm sorry you had a rough June! I'm glad that July helped you! I have the same watch problem. I think it's because I have way too many choices so it takes forever to pick and like you, the checklist helps me narrow the options down! I also enjoy that it makes me get out of my comfort zone and watch things I would never have before. While sometimes it's not successful and I wouldn't watch it again, I have several that have become favorites that I've watched multiple times. And there is almost nothing more satisfying that having a complete list! lol!

And we have the winners!

But first a few stats: Not including myself (for any of the stats), we had 34 people indicate they were participating in the challenge. Only 1 person had zero watches listed and only 1 person had 1 entry.

We had an average of 70.9 watches per person, with the highest watch being 227 items on their watch list!

The checklist: We had 20 people start a checklist with 9 of them completed. Two of the lists were blacked out and one list was quite close to it!

So I want to say congrats to all the participants for a great year!

Now for the part everyone is waiting for: the winners.

Congrats to coyoteblue, tarfrimmer and Fist of Doom Jr.! Please remember that you do have to have an address in the United States to be eligible. You may pick a prize from HamiltonBook.com, up to $15-20 worth. Once you've made your selection, please send me, through PM, your selection and shipping address. If you don't want me to see your address, please still message me so I can alert GoldenWheels that you'll be sending it to his private message box as he doesn't check it that often.

This is important! If you do not indicate that you have seen this message or pick your prizes within 4 days (Tuesday, August 11th, 6 pm central time), I will move to the next name on the list. I kept the random number sequence that picked prizes and will just use the next person indicated. I would appreciate if you posted here in the thread what you chose as well! (but you don't have to.)

Thanks again to GoldenWheels for sponsoring the challenge!

We have our first acceptance of prizes! tarfrimmer has accepted and I've passed their request along to GoldenWheels.

Congrats again to tarfrimmer who was one of the 2 participants who blackout-ed the checklist! I have to admit I was kind of excited to see them get a prize because I know how long that checklist is and how difficult it had to be to get every one marked off!

Popping back into DVDTalk after a break to post my list, forgetting how prompt LJG is on these things! I did my usual checklist thing, with a bit of concentration on finally getting into Agents of Shield. Anyway, congrats to the winners, the usual big thanks to our sponsors, and thanks for running things L!

I did give a week before finalizing lists/picking winners! :) Next year, I'll have to shoot you a PM, I think... lol!

Got my Blu-rays today. Outstanding job, GoldenWheels and LJG765!

Looks like this weekend will be a double feature of Bone Tomahawk and Manhattan. Perfect pairing?
