Safe Lists
The following lists are Automatic Safe lists. They are not definitive and there might be exceptions therein, especially concerning Distributors. Generally, the presence of those on the lists in an actual creative capacity (that is, more than just a cameo or bit part. For instance, Bruce Campbell appearing in Spider-Man does not make Spider-Man safe) is enough to make a film safe. Got more? Post them and I'll update the list. Obviously, films not including these participants are safe, too. Update: I added several new names to the actors list. Some of these actors appeared in actual big budget Hollywood fare, but most of their career was in B-Movies, then obviously discard the Big Hollywood movies and just watch the B's (For example, William Shatner. Ignore Star Trek movies but anything else is fair game. Or Patrick Swazye. Ghost is probably not right, but most of his other films were B-Movies).

I did a double feature earlier tonight. First, one of my favorite Clint Eastwood westerns was on Encore Classic, Hang Em High . I followed that up with a Corman flick on The Film Detective, Attack Of The Giant Leeches .

It's hard watching as much as I want or what I want now that my wife is also working from home. She's too distracting and I always want to put something on that she'll enjoy, which is tough. She's not a movie person at the best of times, and her tolerance for exploitation is wafer thin. At least I don't have kids at home any more. Anyone else experiencing these issues or others while trying to isolate?

I pretty much watch martial arts only for this challenge, but I thought Triple Threat was entertaining. Followed it up with Revenger, which was OK. I like to poke around Netflix and Prime for random B titles that fit this challenge.

beemoz.com has a nice interface for finding B movies on youtube. I used it and ended up watching Deathbed: The Bed That Eats. Not sure if that counts as a good thing or a bad thing! lol

Your post inspired me to check YouTube for other B Movies, and I found a bunch of playlists with b movies on them. I just finished watching Unknown World , about a crew that takes a craft into a hollow world. It was on a sci fi movies of the 50s and 60s playlist.

I was happy to find two films directed by William Grefé that are free with Amazon prime. The are Mako: The Jaws of Death listed as The Jaws of Death on Prime (think Willard with sharks) and Impulse starring William Shatner. I wanted to see theses for a while. Both are good but Impulse is the better of the two. Shatner shines as a psychotic con-man who preys on lonely women. A third Grefé film, The Checkered Flag is also available but costs $1.99 to rent. All of these are in SD.

Is anyone else on Letterboxd? I've been posting silly nonsense about the movies I'm watching over there, and I'm always looking for more people to follow.
I've been watching some fun stuff for the challenge. The standouts so far have been In The Line of Duty and Magnificent Warriors, two martial arts flicks starring Michelle Yeoh. I also finally watched Cleopatra Jones which is really fun; I had a long conversation with friends about how I find Shelley Winter's gay villain more fun than offensive. (I cannot say the same for the gay (maybe?) villain in The New Barbarians.) I've also watched three post-apocalyptic movies to prepare for the future!

I usually watch The Passion of the Christ each Good Friday; mostly because it’s seems appropriate given the ‘holiday’, I’m a believer, and think it’s a good film overall, but I guess I’ll count it as religious exploitation.

Many thanks to indiephantom for recommending TUBITV.COM as a source for this challenge. The site is a veritable treasure trove of B Movies! While perusing their catalog I felt I was in a cheap VHS rental store circa 1985.

Re: 11th Annual Drive-in/Exploitation?b-Movie Challenge. April 1-April 30, 2020
Maybe I was just in the right mood for it, but I watched Golden Queen's Commando (1982) Thursday night on B-Movie TV, and loved it. It's a unique mixture of Women in Prison movie, War movie, Western, and chop-socky movie (with a dash of Nazisploitation). Throw in a surprise Bond-style villain in a secret lair in the climax, 'cause, why not? The only thing it was missing was nudity. It slowed down a little in the middle, and all the male characters were buffoons, but overall I thought it was a fun flick. Dimension X Bob says check it out.
B-Movie TV is re-playing it today at 4PM (Their channel software lets you change the time on your Roku so you can watch it pretty much any time, all day today), or you can watch it on YouTube.

Cool, I didn’t know about that function. B-Movie TV is, easily, my most favorite movie channel on ALL of TV...Although TCM comes very close

I watch B-Movie TV more than anything else, but B-Zone (started by a few of the people who had shows on B-Movie TV - that's where Midnight Owl TV moved to) is worth a look. I check both channels' FaceBook pages every day to look at the schedules to decide what to watch, and since you can "time travel" with B-Movie TV, you don't have to miss anything if two movies you want to watch play at the same time.

Still plays on Friday nights. I think they had a couple of new episodes when the channel first launched in February, but they're playing reruns now. I'm sure new episodes will play eventually since the guy who runs the channel is the guy who writes and directs the show.

I need a new remote for my Roku, but when I was able to, I always enjoyed B-Movie TV as well. I once saw the 80s cult classic Angel on there one night.

The original I presume. It’s a favorite (guilty pleasure?) of mine, perhaps because of the memory of it being the first time I saw boobies. I still haven’t seen the 1996 remake iirc. I want to, but have never seen it streaming or available for cheap.
