Man, I kinda wish I had gone with 12 Monkeys. Mostly because it would have added to the neat community-nature of the challenge if we all could have watched it together.

I've got the first two Complete Collections, which includes the story the movie is based on, and the art and stories are very good. Need to catch up with the rest of the releases. There's also an anime, Time Jam: Valerian and Laureline (technically it's a French/Japanese co-production).

I’m a fan of Eurocomics in general but only started reading it a few years ago. I think I have all the stories in digital but have read only a few. The movie was meh but certainly looked good.

I got my prize yesterday also. I was surprised to get one of those fancy Hamilton Books shipper things, rather than just a padded envelope, since it was just one giveaway DVD. Thanks GoldenWheels!

OK... you got me... I saw this at ~1:50 CST and kind of freaked out! I then saw the asterisk and qualifier line. Whew!

I'm starting with 12 Monkeys (every time - and I mean *EVERY TIME* I type that I want to type "Monkees" as in the recording group...). I also purchased a copy of Idiocracy (2006) for the challenge. I've never seen it before and plan to watch it Friday night or sometime Saturday.

I have three seasons of 12 Monkeys on Vudu that I’m tempted to watch. I wouldn’t get through them all, of course, but could continue for the action challenge. But I don’t have the fourth season because I bought the others on sale, I think a couple in a bundle with the movie.

Watched my first ever Outlander episodes, and then the 1970 Christmas Carol iteration Scrooge, all which I guess could triple count. Then got a hankering for my first ever viewing of the old Bing Crosby version of A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court, but I can’t find it anywhere. If I own the disc, it’s at storage, and it’s apparently not streaming legal and free anywhere, even Youtube. I thought I had a breakthrough when on a whim I checked my free movies from that MovieSpree nonsense. It was there! But, alas, the artwork shows the Bing Crosby version, but it actually contains a different version. But still musical, and time travel, and I guess adventure, and Boris Karloff!

I watched the first 3 episodes of 12 Monkeys last night. It felt like it started a bit slow but by the end of E3 the plot had gotten quite complicated and convoluted. If you don't pay close attention you could easily get lost. In fact, I plan to watch E3 again tonight because I think I missed some stuff.

It's still early but if you asked me right now - I'd say I'm purchasing S2. I'm a bit miffed that S3 and S4 are MOD (BR but still MOD) so are overpriced. I might suck it up and do digital for those (I can get 'em with my Amazon digital credits for slow shipping).

I don't think I have and double/triple qualifying titles. If I do, they're in boxes and not easily accessible so...

I was browsing time travel episodes on bing yesterday and saw quite a few that I have access to. Superfriends, Xena, Transformers, GI Joe, not to mention my digital copies of Doctor Who and my DVD set of Time Tunnel.

I’m pretty sure I watched some episodes when it was originally broadcast but would have to start over for sure. Just not sure I want to tackle that right now, and don’t really want to drag out Harry Potter, BTTF, etc. again. Guess I’m flailing a bit. Would Source Code count?

I started with a couple episodes of The Time Tunnel last night. I couldn't believe how excited I was to get back to this show! In the first one, Doug and Tony end up on Krakatoa just before the volcano erupts. They have to get a stubborn (of course) British scientist, his daughter, and some superstitious (of course) natives off the island. Then Doug and Tony landed at the end of the Trojan War. At one point the scientists decided to send a submachine gun and some hand grenades back to help Tony who was have a rough time with a bunch of Trojan soldiers. What could go wrong? Not what I expected. I find that the antics in the control room can be just as entertaining as the adventures in the past.

Today I started with Dimension 5 a movie I've wanted to see since I was a kid. It's about secret agents who use time converter belts which let them go into the future or the past and who are trying to stop an evil organization from nuking Los Angeles. It was OK but I probably would have liked it more when I was much younger. Still there were some fun parts.

The Time Tunnel is a looooong time favorite. I was very disappointed when it didn't return for a 2nd season.

I'd not heard of Dimension 5 until a few years ago when I was researching SF movies from the 60s (basically expanding to collect the SF from that decade). For some reason I've not seen many of the 60s SF movies but have seen almost every SF movie released from 1930 to 1960. I watched a horror host program as a kid and saw lots of the older ones there. The local movie theater got some titles but not everything (I know they got The Blob and The Green Slime but I didn't see either of those until ~10 years ago). I'd ride my bike over to look at the posters every couple of days (small town and the theater was only 5 blocks from my house, next door to the grocery store) and try to decide what I wanted to see. Anyway... during the last Target B2G1 sale I caved and ordered a copy of Dimension 5 and Cyborg 2087, another 60s SF movie I heard of around the same time as Dimension 5. I hope to get both in over the weekend. I really don't know how I'd not heard of them back in the 60s...
