There is now. Last year it was Margot Kidder.

Also this Pallas's cat reminds me of Angela from Sleepaway Camp:

Right? I saw that cat the other day and had the same immediate reaction! The likeness in its expression is uncanny.

Can someone refresh my memory on the subset list. I know that one movie can be replaced by a Theatrical movie. Is that the only replacement that is allowed? (I'm not wanting to change the rules, I just don't remember them clearly.)

One thing I look forward to every year is the Spooky Trail Ride that one of neighbors runs through his woods every October. It’s nice to have a haunted hayride within five minutes of where I live.

Do Criterion Crossover and Comedy subset films also count as bonus for subset? Not sure I remember exactly but I thought so.

If anyone's interested in making $1,300 for watching Stephen King movies:

https://www.usdish.com/get-paid-to-w...en-king-movies

You watch 13 of his film adaptations and they track your heart and jump scares. Probably doesn't hurt to be a Dish subscriber although not mandatory.

Speaking of Stephen King...

I copied that part from last year and couldn't remember what that was referring to, but it's Maximum Overdrive.

We're actually getting a small horror film festival in Perth at the end of October-early November: Program - Monster Fest Australia

Won't help with the challenge, but this is awesome. I actually haven't heard of a lot of these, any recommendations for what I should catch? I'm considering spending the $180 to see all the films but I'm not sure yet, it seems like fun though.

Jealous. I really want to see the R cut of Tammy and the T-Rex.

Does anyone here have a lot of experience ordering from Vinegar Syndrome? I wanted to do the preorder for Tammy and the T-Rex, my question is do they charge your credit card once you preorder or will they do that when it ships in November?

Unless it's changed recently they charge you up front for the pre-order.

Looks like fun. There are so many new movies on the program that I would think you'd be going in blind (as far as reviews) to most of them. Which is pretty cool. On any given viewing you could get crap ... or the next cult classic!

I didn't know that Richard Stanley (Hardware, Dust Devil) had finished a new narrative feature. While Lovecraft's The Colour Out of Space is a familiar story (that has been adapted many times) I'm still intrigued with what he came up with. His earlier movies had such a sense of style to them that it's a shame his career got derailed so badly. I know it's been recommended before, but the documentary about Richard Stanley's descent into filmmaking hell during the making of The Island of Dr. Moreau (which ended up getting finished by another director in 1996) is fascinating.

I wish that was getting a wider theatrical release because that would make for a fun time in the theater. I am looking forward to the VS Blu-ray though.

I try to stay away from reviews until I've already watched films, but it is definitely nice having not even heard of many of these titles (3 From Hell and Ready or Not are the only ones I'd heard of). It seems like most of them are probably worth giving a go, so I'm definitely leaning towards getting a full festival ticket!

I'm not a slip case collector but that one looks great.
