It does not appear that there's anywhere to stream The Blob (1958), is that right?
Edit: Changed my vote to Videodrome.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)
Just mentioned in the other thread...
Looks like we'll be getting our *live* Joe Bob Briggs theme after all on Friday, 10/25. Even though it's not been officially confirmed, it's pretty obvious it's something to do with him after his tweet. I'm guessing it'll be another 4 movie marathon like the Thanksgiving and Christmas specials were. Whatever the case, it's probably a good idea to move the mass marathon (featuring Heavy Metal Movies) to another Saturday because I seriously doubt many will be game for back-to-back marathons.

I'm a little late to the forum this year, but I'll volunteer for a subset pick and go with Zombies. My picks are Zombie (Zombi 2), Night of the Living Dead (1990), Dead Snow 2, and Cargo (2017).

If it's allowed, I'll change my Criterion vote from Eraserhead to Videodrome (I've watched The Blob many times already).

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)
Does anyone here know or know how to get in touch with Joe Bob Briggs. It would be the ultimate in coolness if we could get him to do his own subset based on one of the movies he'll be hosting for Shudder next month. Since all he does is pick a movie it seems like something he would do just for the publicity (and think of the publicity we would get).

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)
And come on subset volunteers. If Chad (or someone) can get Shudder to set us up with Joe Bob Briggs to do his own subset we would only need two more volunteers. I'm dying to start picking out my movies and I base mine on the Checklist so I'm twiddling my thumbs here waiting to see the new additions to the checklist so I can start matching up my new choices to the new checklist. It's getting late here and I'm excited to finalize things. Just a few more subsets so if you are considering it please jump in and volunteer!

Ugh, I hate Videodrome so much... but might as well get it out of the way from the beginning.
There's so many people in the list thread, but no one volunteering. I was hoping to get a head start on acquiring the movies needed this year.

Re: Pre-Horror Challenge 15: Building of the Optional Lists (Themes, Subset, & Checklist)
I don't understand why somebody wouldn't volunteer. The job mainly consists of picking a movie that isn't on the existing list.
There are 59 posts in the List Thread. Surely there are 3 people in there that could step up to the task that haven't already done so.
I say we start drafting.

And yeah, I could give it a shot. I'm gonna be contacting sponsors soon anyway and could use my sales pitch. Of course, that means whoever picks the Joe Bob subset spot is in agreement that if he agrees, well, your pick gets the boot.

Thank you. The final round with the current themes left can be found here.
And we're down to 2 subset volunteers needed.

Now I'm getting excited! Just one more volunteer and a final one in case we can't get Joe Bob. Come on everyone, let's get this baby finished so we can start tracking down the chosen movies!
