Board games with kids is always a good use of time! Ticket to Ride is a great game, so I hope they enjoy this one. I just got a board overlay of the United Kingdom (plus Pennsylvania) that I want to try.
I've gotten in a lot of watches this year but not some of my standards (It's a Wonderful Life, Love Actually, White Christmas, Holiday Inn). Maybe in the next few days.

Well I think I'm done for the year. I struggled to be in the Christmas spirit this year for other reasons, but 67 is a good number. I enjoyed watching Lethal Weapon as I haven't seen it in years. Silent Night was probably the best new movie I saw this year and I'll be tracking down the bluray very soon.

I’m mostly done, but would still like to watch the Christmas train shows on Amazon, as well as The Star Wars Holiday Special , which I think is on YouTube.

Yes the full Star Wars Holiday special is on Youtube. Its not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

My list is complete. I was on vacation in Seattle from Dec 24th-Jan 3 so I really didn't watch anything after Dec 22nd. Got to 62 and my goal was 60, so that's fine. :-)
I enjoyed the challenge. Thanks to all and see you next year!

I sent a message to The Monkees but I haven't got a response so I have to ask where we still doing the Holiday Challenge this year?

His last activity was in January 2019 so its possible that he's bowed out of the forum and by association the challenge.

Besides being an occasional participant in the Horror/TV challenge, his only forum activity every year has been the Holiday event. At least for several years.

How long ago did you send the message? If recently, I'd suggest waiting until at the weekend is over before starting things up without The Monkees .

I emailed him thru the forum software on the 7th, no answer yet. I forget if he’s in our Facebook group, I’ll check.

Hello, everyone. It is with a heavy heart that I confirm I will no longer be running the Holiday Challenge. Life has become too busy and because of that I did not partake in the Horror Challenge either for the first time. I really do appreciate everyone partaking in this challenge for the past 15 years. I hope another person will be able to take over and treat it with as much care as I did.
Thank you
Thank you

Thanks for check in, I think one of us who has experience running a challenge will be able to take over.

I hope life gets easier for you The Monkees. I have experience running different challenges, so I will gladly take over. This has always been one of my favorite challenges, and I would hate to see it go away.

Any new person want to take a crack at starting and monitoring a Challenge?
