Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 14th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

I'm a little confused about the checklist item "Chronological Horror Years Faceoff." Does that mean we add only the titles to the list that are part of said faceoff (i.e., Son of Dracula, Fangs of the Living Dead, and The Washing Machine) and/or watch them on the designated night of 10/22, or does it mean that we can pick any one film from each of those years and watch them whenever?

The latter for the checklist. Any one film from each of those years is fine for the checklist entries. Those three particular titles are for the 31 film subset, and you only have to watch one to complete. And you don't have to watch on the designated day with subsets, just for themes.

This month’s Rue Morgue Coffin Box arrived and it’s my favorite yet.

The magazine of course, a cool Dracula t-shirt, two signed little art cards, that BD/digital combo of a movie I didn’t own yet, and a Twilight Zone action figure. And I lucked out and got the William Shatner figure, my favorite episode and favorite actor.

^ Or just put the ~10 digit ID of your video in [yt] tags.

And surprised at the hate on Happy Death Day. One of the best recent films for me.

Me, too. I'm getting ready to watch it now. I remember enjoying it last year when I watched it the first time.

On the flip side, I'm gradually making it through the Chucky series. I always feel like I'll find something redeemable in Seed of Chucky. I'm always wrong.

It's not just you. I was very unimpressed with the prices. Most are higher than standard Amazon sale prices.

I've never understood why distributors sell product at higher prices than almost anywhere else during sales. You'd think they could undercut everyone during a sale and still make a higher profit than with bulk sales to vendors but it rarely happens.

I’m torn on the Shocktober sale, which does suck this year. But I’m such a completest and have so much of their library already, I’m tempted to get a bunch of the $10-17 titles to hit $150 to qualify for the $20 in future coupons. Either that or I’m totally skipping it and waiting for better sales elsewhere.

Damn. I was really hoping for a good deal on the [REC] set.

Here's a couple more sales, with one being really ill-timed:

Adding a post to see if it appears. this thread is acting weird for me. I see a "29" page but when I click on it, it just shows 28 again.

Are you like me? Have you watched so many movies during these yearly challenges you forget what you watched before or you assume you've already watched it. Imagine my surprise when I watched The Howling yesterday and realized I hadn't seen it before....of, if I had, all memory of it was wiped out. (And for a movie with breasts in it that's not an easy feat)

But were only on page 18, maybe 19 with this post.

But more seriously, that’s probably just the near daily (somewhere in the forum) issue where posts are deleted and new pages of a thread aren’t really there. But once the database shows a new page as created, page 29 in your case and settings, that page number won’t go away even if a post or more get deleted bringing you back to page 28.

That depends on your forum settings. It's page 29 for me.

I went to sleep earlier yesterday and that was refreshing, try to keep the batteries charged.

With Cujo, I'm sure I've seen it before but it's been so long it's practically new - I probably caught it on television when I was younger; the high definition presentation of Cujo was nice.

That’s why I said “but more seriously”.

But seriously, are you newbies on dial-up or something? Why load multiple pages when you don’t have to? Crank those posts per page up!

It really kills my phone dead when loading as one page. I need to upgrade the bag phone though.
