Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

15% Single Item exp 11/6 2:59am ET -- if these are all used I can post some more.
New codes added below at least to make the bots and lurkers work a little harder. Used codes removed 3:30pm. New Codes added

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

I went on a haunted hay ride tonight, so added something from a live event to my list. It was a lot of fun, with no gory jump scares, but a lot of fun animated props.

When I got home, I decided to put in Crystal Lake Memories, as I haven't watched it in years. Coincidentally, it also counts for today's theme.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

I just finished today's subset film, One Dark Night (which I actually caught in its theatrical run 34 years ago), and I find it rather odd that it has neither gore nor splatter, yet it's today's splatter/gore subset pick.

Besides the obvious mortuary setting, it reminds me a bit of Phantasm in that it seems like an after-school special gone wacka-wacka (as a reviewer once described Phantasm). The only thing that I remembered going into it this time is that, while it was no great shakes, I didn't feel that I had wasted my money. That feeling still stands.

I think the resurrected dead's faces and the re-death scenes of the dead had enough "gore" to count. But I guess the term could be subjective.

Today I watched Night of the Demons 2 on Blu-ray, and I really got a kick out of it. It delivered on all points as far as for what I was looking for. Plenty of gore and splatter.

I was a little hesitant at first until seeing it in the Buried link. It's just one of those instances where it was shuffled around a few times to accommodate as many subsets as possible. Anything to minimize constantly having to ask for more picks and have everything take another couple of weeks to finish.

As long as it's not just gore for the sake of gore. Give me a good story and it can be the goriest splatter-fest ever put to celluloid.

I understand--it's no biggie; it just seemed an odd choice to me for that particular subset.

Since I didn't consider One Dark Night to really fit the theme for today, I made sure to watch something extra that would undeniably count for today's theme...so I went with Piranha 3D, which, oddly enough, doesn't appear on the Buried list. I'm astounded at the sheer amount of Joe Bob Briggs's three Bs (blood, beasts, and boobs) that it contained. It may be the ultimate exploitation film.

I am about done with Freddy vs. Jason, and I can say its pretty much a live action Looney Tunes cartoon. Three straight days of the Friday the 13th Series, and I'm starting to feel numb. The remake is my last movie of the night.

Decided to start today's anthology theme with a viewing of Tales from the Hood, as it sadly still seems appropriate in these times.

Tales from the Hood is on the weekend $4.99 sale on Vudu. I've never watched it, is it any good?

Just thought I might add a little urban horror to my list. Also, in a few more weeks I'll be ready for plenty of Christmas and Hallmark Movies.

Came to post this - It's really well made so don't let the fact that it's a fan film turn you off. I really dug it aside from the last few minutes.

Would watching that Fan film count as a full entry even if its just 50 minutes long?

I love Tales from the Hood. It's one of my favorite anthology films.

I finally got to see "Videodrome"!!! I'm stoked. It was one of those movies I always meant to watch but it kept getting pushed to the back burner. I'm so glad I finally watched it today!

Oh dear GOD yes. I bought "Night of 1000 Cats" on DVD to watch for the challenge one year, and I considered burning my copy after it ended.

Now I'm disappointed that that one isn't one of the ones I bought from you.

To a degree, I'm with Chad. But in general, I couldn't care less about gore in a movie. That's one of the reasons I tend to gravitate towards pre 1970s films. There may be some gore, or gore-like scenes, but it's rarely gratuitous and almost never "over-the-top." Most of my favorite post 70s films have little to no gore and, generally, a good story. Of course there are those "guilty pleasures" which totally fall outside that generalization.

You'll have to buy it for next year so I don't have to suffer alone with the memory of that movie.

Finished "Scanners" as well! Now I don't have to be embarrassed to call myself a Cronenberg fan anymore.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

The dog roused me up early this morning, so I decided to start the day's viewing. I had a lot of fun with a first-time watch of Cast a Deadly Spell (1991) and would recommend it, especially as a change of pace from straight-up horror. It has a horror tag on IMDB, so it definitely qualifies, but it's really more of a comedic film noir with magic, the Necronomicon, zombies and demons.

Fred Ward is great as the hard-talking gumshoe, and it also features David Warner and Julianne Moore. It has a heavy Lovecraft influence. In case that's not already apparent, Ward's character is named Lovecraft. Apparently, this was an HBO original movie. It's available on HBO on demand. I read there even was a sequel with Dennis Hopper, though that one isn't on demand. I might go look for it this month. I think it's good to mix in these movies that are more on the periphery of horror to keep things fresh throughout the month.

I love Videodrome. I was happy I got to see it at a local theater a few years back. They showed it in a double feature with eXistenZ. I had a VIP ticket for a benefit concert Blondie was doing in NYC, so I got Debbie Harry to sign my Videodrome Criterion Blu-ray.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

This Friday the 13th was a good movie day for me. I went to Film Forum in NYC for the theatrical premiere of the new Night of the Living Dead 4k restoration and it looks great. They did a great job and cleaned it up nicely. After that, I went to another theater, Quad Cinema, which happens to be on 13th street, and saw Friday the 13th Part 3 in 3D. That was a whole lot of fun and it wasn't the anaglyph (red, blue) 3D that most people think of with this movie. It was just like the original 3D that was used when the movie was released in theaters, which was actually a darker 3D lens, similar to what looking out of today's 3D glasses is like.

Half way through Spontaneous Combustion, and there's the second John Landis cameo of the month. I may have to follow this with An American Werewolf in London.
