Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

15% Single Item exp 11/6 2:59am ET -- if these are all used I can post some more.
New codes added below at least to make the bots and lurkers work a little harder. Used codes removed 3:30pm. New Codes added

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

I finally remembered to open my "When Horror Came to Shochiku" set I picked up 3 (4?) years ago during a Criterion sale. I've been waiting for the Horror Challenge and have forgotten about it every year as it was kept in a "special" bookcase and I'd not look there for titles until after the challenge was over! This year I didn't forget!

So... last night I watched The X from Outer Space. Man, what a trippy film! It's pretty much a Godzilla film without Godzilla (it even looks like they borrowed the Godzilla suit and just put on a different head and feet) but the music is this light, airy, stuff that just doesn't truly fit a Kaiju film. It was quite entertaining.

Before I forget again:

Congrats to the winners and thanks to the sponsors!

I'm paying the $5 a month to have it as an add-on to my Amazon Prime. Are you watching it as a stand-lone app? If so, how's the navigation and such? Just curious if I should cancel the Amazon sub and get a separate, solo sub with the Shudder app.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

The perfect ambiance autumn day with it being rainy, windy, dark & gloomy to watch one of my favs - house of Dark Shadows!

The beautiful Maggie Evans (Kathryn Leigh Scott) who is the governess to David Collins (David Henesy) at the Collinwood estate in Collinsport, Maine is sent out by Roger Collins (Louis Edmonds) to search for his son David that has gone missing. Maggie searches throughout the Collinwood stables and finds a druken Willie Loomis (John Karlen) the estates handyman. Willie has no intention of searching for David (he has something better in mind), so Roger fires him. Willie goes to the cemetery and breaks into the Collins family mausoleum to look for the legendary missing jewels. He deciphers a riddle and is led into a secret chamber where he opens up a coffin & finds...If you enjoyed the day-time Dark Shadows series this is a great extension to what goes on at Collinwood. As they perfect this with all of the exciting outdoor scenes, which add so much to the ambiance and the perfect gothic horror you are about to see! A great 'cup of tea' for me!!

I either use the Roku or iOS app, and both are okay. Nothing fancy, but neither am I.

You should at least do that 30 day free trail of Shudder and nine other streaming services. I forget what it's called, but I've linked it in this thread. I'm on a $48 yearly Shudder only subscription that came with a free Roku.

I decided to watch the same movie. I don't think I've seen it since before I went Blu-ray. So first time watching it on Blu-ray, first time on my 4k set. My first thought was I had forgotten how intentionally shitty it looked. It's taking me a while to get used to it.

So it's not just me. Yeah, the DVD picture is horrible. If it's still bad on Blu, then there's no need for me to upgrade.

28 Days Later was shot with a very early digital camera, there's no way for it to really look good.

Caught the giallo in a Gothic-style castle La Bambola Di Satana for thunderstorm day and it barely delivered.

This is a fun theme and I blew it by my usual obsessing over first time views. Also, mother nature didn't cooperate by at least offering a simple sprinkle of rain. This should be a rotating theme for when it's raining in your area, because it's just not the same when fictional thunderstorms don't have real ones to sync up with.

One more tonight with either The Bloodstained Shadow or The Bloodstained Butterfly. Both have thunderstorms, I think.

I decided to watch The 'Burbs. I wasn't sure it would qualify and would've used a wild card until I realized it's been counted for years. In watching, which I haven't done in a while, it's got more horror in it than most horror-comedies. One of my favorite late 80's movies.

I caught Gobear's post just as I finished up Dolls, and decided to dig out my copy of 28 Days Later. It's the first time I had seen it with my new setup, and it did look bad! This is such a fantastic movie, and I didn't let those murky scenes impact my viewing. The final scene is filmed in 35mm, and that grass looked SO green! I was in a really strange mood last night, and that ending was really what I needed. I had read somewhere that the alternate ending was too much of a downer to test audiences, and it was changed.

We had some really strong storms pass through last night, and it really helped with the ending of 28 Days Later. Actually the cat kept randomly jetting across the floor throughout the storms, and it was starting to get on my nerves with all the zombies and such. I think it's the reason the dog retired to the bedroom about an hour earlier.

I try to watch this every year; one of my favs for sure. I have the UK Arrow release and for the last couple years keep meaning to watch the work print version but never do. My big goal for this year though.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

Watched Knock Knock yesterday and despite the polarizing reviews I very much enjoyed it. There's a running "joke" my wife and I have that I'm going to be downtown every weekend in October looking for this drop-dead sexy (adult) Wednesday Addams we saw there at last year's Halloween festival. But after watching this movie I'm thinking that fantasy bubble has been burst.

I watched Knock Knock yesterday also expecting a lukewarm at best thriller (and needing stormy night movies to fill the theme) but ended up really enjoyed it; it's got some torture porn elements but plays much more dramatically introducing sexuality and emotional conflict more than physical pain. Some of the leads strike a good mix of unassuming and diabolical.

It's funny how with some theme days I'll struggle to find good options then the next day stormy nights unexpectedly haunting me in every movie I watch.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 13th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

I finally got around to watching Hostel and thought it was very effective with its mood, the creepy kids, etc., even though I'm not a fan of torture porn. The unrated BD had an alternate ending that I thought was really effective.
Spoiler:
Instead of killing the villain, the hero sees him with his daughter in the train station and abducts her, leaving him screaming for her on the platform. It shows the hero in a darker place than plain old murder, which he has done already, though not with the same viciousness as in the standard ending.

I just finished an interesting show, on Teen Nick, called Ultimate Halloween Haunted House. It was all about a bunch of kids working their way through a haunted house attraction.

I can't stop thinking about The Wailing, I have different theories swirling through my head. I thought I had it figured out when the credits ran, but now I'm doubting myself. Interesting movie.
