Unless otherwise noted, everything is from my personal DVD / Bluray collection.

1. Mary, Mary, Bloddy Mary (1975) B-movie great John Carradine is billed as a guest-star in this Mexican-USA production but like in many of his later films he appears only briefly at the end. The lovely Cristina Ferrare is a vampire who first drugs her victims before drinking their blood. Filmed in Mexico and directed Juan Lopez Moctezuma (he of the cult classic Alucarda), this movie is pretty run of the mill, save for some nice stylistic choices by Lopez Moctezuma. Mild lesbian scenes and some nudity. Enjoyable in a 70's B-movie way.
   
2. The Driver (1978) Ryan O'Neal stars as a stone-faced getaway driver for hire that is being pursued, figuratively and literally, by cop Bruce Dern. Some cool car chases that are way better than anything in The Fast and the Furious because there is no CGI. Isabelle Adjani plays the eye candy. Great stuff.
3. The Tommyknockers (1993) Run-of-the-mill Stephen King adaptation of his run-of-the-mill novel. Aliens take over the minds of local townsfolk. Boredom ensues.
4. 'Salem's Lot (1979) Still holds up after all these years as one of the great vampire films. This 2 part made-for-TV miniseries never drags thanks to the skillful direction of Tobe Hooper. One of the best Stephen King adaptations.
   
   The following five movies are from the Hammer Films Collection DVD set.
5. The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll (1960) Interesting Hammer movie where Dr. Jekyll's alter ego is not a misshapen brute but a handsome man bent on living a life of over-indulgence. Christopher Lee stars as the freeloading lover of Dr. Jekyll's wife.
6. Scream of Fear AKA Taste of Fear (1961) Better than average early Hammer movie that is not horror but a psychological thriller. A wealthy heiress (played by the lovely Susan Strasberg) comes home after being away many years to find that her estranged father may or may not be dead. The black and white photography really adds to the noir-like suspense. Seek this one out if you haven't seen it.
7. The Gorgon (1964) Standard Hammer film about a Medusa-like creature turning people to stone in a European village. Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee star with Cushing having the bigger role.
8. Stop Me Before I Kill! (1960) Another black and white Hammer thriller where a man is believes he may have killer impulses which he cannot control. He also doubts the faithfulness of his beautiful wife. Entertaining, though not nearly as good as Scream of Fear.
9. Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964) Another by-the-numbers Hammer horror movie that suffers by not having neither Peter Cushing or Christopher Lee in the cast.
   
10. Melody (1971) Cult classic that I can watch over and over again. A couple of kids fall in love in an English school.
11. Tilt (1979) A movie that could have been better since it has a great theme - pinball. Brooke Shields in one of her early roles plays Tilt, a 14 year-old pinball wizard who uses her talents to hustle bets.
12. Sahara (1983) Seen on Youtube A Golan-Globus production that is one of their best. Brooke Shields at the height of her fame and beauty stars as an early 20th Century race card driver who goes to the Sahara to participate in a race across the desert. Along the way she is kidnapped by a desert tribe and adventure ensues. Lots of fun and a perfect light touch. And an Ennio Morricone score to boot. I really have to add this one to my personal collection.
13. Senso '45 AKA Black Angel (2002) Tinto Brass film that really rises above mere nazi-sploitation thanks to his skillful direction. A married Italian woman starts a torrid affair with a Nazi officer. Great scenery and costumes make this seem much more expensive than it probably was.
