If a category is listed as "Optional", it does not need to be filled to "complete" the checklist. There are 10 free spots you may apply to non-Optional categories. The following lists are Automatic Safe lists. They are not definitive and there might be exceptions therein, especially concerning Distributors. Generally, the presence of those on the lists in an actual creative capacity (that is, more than just a cameo or bit part. For instance, Bruce Campbell appearing in Spider-Man does not make Spider-Man safe) is enough to make a film safe. Got more? Post them and I'll update the list. Obviously, films not including these participants are safe, too. Update: I added several new names to the actors list. Some of these actors appeared in actual big budget Hollywood fare, but most of their career was in B-Movies, then obviously discard the Big Hollywood movies and just watch the B's (For example, William Shatner. Ignore Star Trek movies but anything else is fair game. Or Patrick Swazye. Ghost is probably not right, but most of his other films were B-Movies).

Re: 8th Annual Drive-in/Exploitation Challenge April 1-April 30, 2017
I addressed it earlier.
The Safe lists are unique to this challenge because most actors and directors that did B and Exploitation movies tended to only do B and Exploitation movies. You can't have that in Horror or Sci Fi because hardly any actor or director ever made exclusively Horror or Sci Fi movies and the handful that did hardly make it worth doing. Christopher Lee was in over 200 movies and only a couple dozen or so were Horror. Same with Vincent Price, Lon Chaney Jr, and so on. You can't say a movie is eligible for the Horror challenge just because Christopher Lee is in it, but you can pick nearly anyone from the Safe Lists and with very few exceptions pretty much anything they appeared in (more than a cameo) is likely a B or Exploitation movie and is eligible for the challenge. Sometimes an actor might get a big break and appear in an A film but then goes right back to B movies. So exceptions are made, allowing for Big Break type films or stunt casting.
It's easy to let the Safe List fall into a Hall of Fame type of thing when it really should be somewhat functional. I just removed Christopher Lee from the list because he did too many A pictures back in his heyday. James Bond, Three Musketeers, and so on. I can't justify him in there. We should be able to have a movie and ask if it is eligible and be able to legitimately say, "Of course it is, Sid freakin' Haig is in it!"

I love classic trailers. Here's one the best trailer narrator voices of all time. Percy Rodrigues.

How's this for a paycheck movie? I Am Wrath. There's been an effort to get some of that sweet, sweet Hollywood money in Ohio so they've been promoting filming here. The Avengers was films partially in Cleveland. Columbus got I Am Wrath. I was not aware how far John Travolta had fallen so quickly. This was a direct to DVD feature TURNED DOWN by Nick Cage. It's so funny. It actually takes place here in Columbus, which I had no idea was such a cesspool of violence and corruption and decay. 11% on Rotten Tomatoes. Joe Bob says check it out.

Starts tonight. Getting excited.
Picked those up, too. I actually watched the first disc of TT3 last night. Had all these on VHS and nice to have a definitive set on BR.
My favorite line from Trouble Man trailer. "Rub him wrong and he'll explode in your face!" I always thought Don LaFontaine was overrated ("In a world..."), but Adolph and Percy were the cream of the crop.
I watched the first 5 minutes and set it aside just for April.

^ Getting excited myself. I've purposely avoided watching B action movies, even though I have quite a few just to save them for this Challenge.

What is everyone starting out with? Since I'm revisiting the checklist this year, I'm gonna start with some critical bomb/razzie checks. Gotta get the bad taste out of my mouth first!
Yes! Thank you for providing the name that completes the holy trinity! (Along with Adolpho and Jon Davison)

I'm going to see Beauty and the Beast which friends and family this evening so I may be too busy to watch anything. However, I'm planning to settle on the couch with the cats tonight and delve into either Mill Creek's "Taboo Tales" box set or the quartet of Lifetime's adaptations of V.C. Andrew's Flowers in the Attic saga.

For the checklist, do we have the Bottom 100 IMdB archive? I think there are a few versions, but looking for most definitive. I'm getting deja vu, so I probably asked this before.

I kicked off the Challenge, by browsing the Dish Guide. I came across The Wedding Date, on CMT. It sounded interesting, and had a 10% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, so I gave it a whirl. I wasn't disappointed, as I was entertained by the movie. I have a high tolerance for bad movies though, so YMMV.
