Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

That does sound unpleasant!

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual October Horror Movie Challenge (Oct 1-31) Pt

Went through the lists, that's a lot of interesting ones...

I most enjoyed the lists with small reviews or write-ups about the movies so ended up voting for SterlingBen on best list because his list balances brief commentary, amusing beer tastings, and somehow squeezes in poster art for everything. Other lists with reviews that I appreciate and will probably mine for quality picks are Numbercruncher, MrStayPufd, omike, brainee, spiderbite, fiver, dimension x, screwadu, gobear, mightysparks, & Jacob_b

MondoKane’s drive-in totals are epic, those definitely stood out (and nice compilation video).

SurfingHawk’s list is a thing of beauty; clever idea – that looks hard to pull off.

Tarfirmmer’s list also stands out as really organized with nice Wikipedia links, posters, etc.

I liked TheBigDave’s organization by subgenre (good thing he didn’t watch seem to anything like Waxworks that would fit multiple categories) but it sure did make his pacing hard to follow.

DarthMaher – you should post some pictures from your Redeemers Methodist Church Not-So-Scary Haunted House, that sounds like an amusing thing for you to put together.

What happened to the guy who posted daily videos? I know numbercruncher did some and DarkGod (you guys should put video links on your lists) but wasn’t there a ChuckD (or something?). It doesn’t seem like the challenge will be over until DaveyJoe posts his video. Maybe one day I’ll work up the time/talent/guts to pull off a video.

I am actually trying to find out if somebody got some pics. I was so busy running around trying to keep the kids n line that I didn't get any stills. I did walk though once with my video camera so if I can't find anyone that took stills, I'll just get some screen grabs. Stay tuned I guess.

I wish I was better at writing reviews. I've never been very good at that. I usually either like something or I don't, and most of the time I don't even know why. If I had "fun" watching it, I liked it. If I was 'bored", I didn't. Those two adjectives repeated over and over don't make for good reviews. LOL

I hear you there.Fleas were bad this year. I have 4 cats and the fleas spread like wildfire.
My usual brand flea control didn't put a dent in them.Had switch to another brand and took care of problem.

What is it with fleas this year? One of my boxers was itching terribly all summer long, even after being treated with flea medicine.

Thanks to Chad for hosting and to GoldenWheels for the prizes! As always it was fun!

My checklist has been finalized! I finished with 71 entries and a little over 111 hours of viewing. I also finished the checklist! This was my 10th Horror Challenge. I cannot believe it has been that long.

Crazy. Fleas were a problem for my dogs for the first time this summer. Never had an "infestation" before. Is all our flea treatment breeding super fleas? Or something more sinister like in Stung (relative to the challenge)?

Aw shucks.

I am still playing catch up. I hit the hundred, theme night and checklist completion categories for tallying purposes. I do still have a few movie reviews to extract from my notes and a lot of beer tastings to decode from my drunk notes. So my list will continue to change for a few days still.

Again great challenge everyone!

I'm exactly the same. I'd prefer to write a brief review. But I'd just end up using the same words over and over. And it would be very apparent on a long list of 100+ reviews.

Starting with this month's Comedy challenge, I'm adding a letter grade (A+ to F) at the end of each listing. So far it seems to be working out. Although I have more "C" rated movies than the other grades.

Yeah, I rarely write "reviews" exactly, just observations or interesting facts about the items. My "review" is a 1 to 10 scale, with almost all of them being in the 5 to 8 range.

And shouldn't the majority of everyone's reviews be "C"?

I finished updating my list last night and realized I had miscounted and was only two away from tying my previous high. So close. Maybe next year.

As everyone has already said, a big thanks to all the and sponsors for another great challenge. This is the month I look forward to all year. Always a fun time.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual October Horror Movie Challenge (Oct 1-31) Pt

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that I plan to have the winners announced sometime tonight. Probably late-night. I'll announce them in here, on the facebook page and will send individual PMs (and email if applicable) to all the winners. Please keep an eye out for that because, as always, I have to have the address info sent in no later than 11/15. They're currently sitting in the Internet Brands warehouse and they need the space cleared by that date for the holiday season.

And don't be shy about letting me know what you already own. It doesn't just help keep you from receiving a duplicate, but also makes my job easier.

Here's the offerings:

Spoiler:
Blu-ray unless otherwise noted:
  • Pet Sematary
  • Re-Animator
  • The Lost Boys triple feature
  • All Hell Breaks Loose (DVD)
  • Horror 8 pack (DVD)
  • Graduation Day
  • Trailer War
  • Blood Diner (claimed - trivia question)
  • The Cannibal Man
  • Street Trash Meltdown Edition
  • The Rift (Endless Descent) (Scorpion Releasing)
  • 4 Copies of Tenebrae (1 copy claimed - trivia question)
  • Axe / Kidnapped Coed
  • Doctor Butcher M.D.
  • 3 Copies of Horror Express (OOP)
  • 3 Copies of Count Dracula
  • Vampyros Lesbos
  • Turkey Shoot

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 12th Annual October Horror Movie Challenge (Oct 1-31) Pt

Thanks, Chad and the sponsors. PM sent with address information.

I enjoyed the challenge, despite it being my lowest total/participation ever. Since I've been working multiple jobs currently, I went into it knowing there was no way I could participate as much as in years past. In some ways, that made it less stressful, since I wasn't going all out to reach 100 or another goal. But that was "enjoyable stress" and I missed it!
