I wrote a script back when I used to do monthly stats for the unwatched pile threads that gave counts of what people bought/watched. The biggest time spent was copying all the lists into one master list.

For the most part it worked fine. I'd exclude leading "The" and "A" from titles since some people used them and others didn't. Then I'd do a quick scan through the list for misspellings, to group them back into the correct movie count. Boom done.

It couldn't have been that bad to do since I did it monthly for at least a year before getting tired of it.

I already have my movies lined up for Day 1. Zombies. I plan on watching Train to Busan, a Korean zombie film with great reviews and a horrific
, and A Scout's Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, which I have stored on the DVR.

What's a script? Well, I'm not quite that dumb, but pretty close when it comes to computers and software since 1992.

But it sounds like you could probably dust off your skills and crank out a master list in less than a day of work. I'll buy you a beer.

But wait, didn't someone make a master list at least once in the past?

The chapter in the Joe Bobb Briggs book "Profoundly Disturbing" about making Blood Feast is great. (that whole book is pretty great, IMO)

I also wanted to let everyone know that Krampus is also $9.99 at Best Buy for the Blu-ray.

I also picked up The Green Room, one of our subset films this year, for $14.99 from there.

Just wanted to pass along this info I posted in the now defunct pre-challenge thread...

Also, this thread no longer serves a purpose, so let's send it straight to forum hell where it belongs.

If you have questions/requests regarding the optional lists please do so in the main thread.

I'm considering it since it starts on a weekend. But honestly, I can't remember the last time I watched more than five or six in one day. Some Eurotrash zombie flicks and '80s cheese might help motivate me.

I saw Train to Busan last month at FrightFest (yes I flew all the way to London for a film festival ). It was very good and my second favourite of the festival. I haven't come across many people who didn't like it.

I'm afraid that I'm utterly useless the next day if I pull an all-nighter! That said, I may end up getting less sleep than I usually do.

I've been busy putting together selections for the the checklist, but I'm finding that a lot of the films I have lined up aren't going to fit. I don't believe I've ever completed the checklist, but this year I'll give it the ol' college try! With my new Hulu subscription added to my access to Netflix Instant and Amazon Prime, I have a larger selection to choose from than ever!

Just a heads up that NTSC vs. PAL doesn't matter with with blu-ray. One less thing to worry about!

If Train to Busan was your second favorite movie of the fest, what was your favorite?
