^I finally caught up with all of those earlier this year (Thanks to Encore Suspense---Which has actually become the best horror channel on premium cable) I couldn't believe how serious the last "Hood" movie tried to be.

I'm pretty sure I've never watched any of them, but maybe they were just forgettable.

It's funny that you mentioned that. We just recently moved. One of the first things I noticed was this dividing our property from the neighbors:

I thought I would throw these questions out to this crowd. I figured all of you would be a good reference. I'm really wanting to upgrade a couple of my favorite silent films, Nosferatu and Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, for this year's challenge. How are the transfers? I seem to remember hearing that the UK editions were better. Any opinions? How are the U.S. releases? Are the UK editions region free?

I'm in too (reluctantly).
Let's pick a day and do this. I think it is a lot better to have more movies we, as a group, decide to watch so there is more discussion and brings us together.

All right, I'm back for one more question. I noticed that American Horror Story: Asylum is super cheap at Amazon UK. I was thinking of ordering but feel like I must be missing something since it's so much cheaper than all the other seasons. Has it been cut or something? I know there are different censorship rules in the UK. I wasn't sure if this fell victim to something like that. It appears to be region free, so as long as it's uncut, it would be a great alternative to the pricier U.S. version.

I like you guys, but I'm not watching the Leprechaun movies again. They're better to marathon on St Patty's Day anyway.

That reminds me of an idea I think I've tried to introduce before. Let's kind of keep the spirit of OHMC alive with 5 or 6 marathon days throughout the year. We could use the one or two yearly Friday the 13ths, a holiday or two, anniversary of icons births, etc.

I try to do that with a classic horror and then its remake/sequels. This year I'm doing The Hills Have Eyes, its sequel, remake, and the remake sequel. All first time viewings for me. For some reason I'm way kinder to remakes during the challenge.

Welcome to Challenges Nesbit! A job where you can watch films is key to hitting 100. I combine that with only working 12 days in October (12 hour shifts), and completely ignoring all other aspects of life for 33 days to sometimes hit 200. But not this year, life is getting real gosh darn it.

I'm a full time student, casual worker and now I live out of home and have bills and a social life and other life problems The good thing is that I'm going through a horrible time right now and watching horror films is like being comforted by a good friend so hopefully I'll feel better by the end of October.

Can't comment on quality because my Kino edition is still sealed tight. But DVD Beaver does list the newer MOC 2013 release (2007 is Region B) as region free and the superior version. I may double dip.

That's awesome. I had that woman in acid (Scream and Scream Again) ready to use, but couldn't figure out the logistics of poisoning the entire ocean but only having one person suffer the consequences. Death by beer is better.
