Paranoiac (1963)
Although Hammer Films are more well-known for their 50s-60s gothic horror films, I've started watching a lot of their suspense movies. For most box sets with the horror titles I was looking for include a few thrillers as well. And so far I've been pretty impressed with some of the little films I found. Of course, it's still Hammer - small budgets and limited sets - but the scripts and directing is rather good.
Here, Oliver Reed plays a cruel brother who tries to get his sister commited to the nut house so he can get the full inheritance of their parents. But when someone who claims to be their long-dead third brother turns up, his plan goes awry.
