Are people counting extras that they watch on their videos?

For example, I watched the 70 minute Lifeforce documentary the other day as well as the half hour documentaries for Sleepaway Camps 2 & 3.

And I have to give a shout out for the British TV show Hammer House Of Horror. Quite enjoyable.

I would certainly count anything that substantial - my vote would be for counting the Lifeforece documentary as a full thing, and the half-hours as quarters or thirds.

I haven't found anything that lengthy yet, but that's how I'd count it if I do.

Yeah, I'd count those with the same value as TV episodes (so a quarter for a half-hour).

And now that I said that, I realized I'd counted the first episode of Scream Queens as .25 instead of .50, and carrying that .25 across all my numbering was starting to annoy me. Glad I could switch it to 0.5, which is a little better. I know I should just watch the second episode to balance things out...

Nearly abandoned the Walking Dead after the first 1 and a half seasons. I kinda' felt there was only so many ways to ring that zombie bell but, I admit, it hooked me back in the second half of Season 2. Onward to Season 3.

I'm enjoying working my way through the F13 series. Just finished Part III. Even though it wasn't the 3-D version, you could still tell where those parts were supposed to be.

I've had insomnia since 1:30 yesterday morning, worrying about my mom's follow-up doctor appointment, but I just got a call that everything is just fine, thankfully.

Got allergies today too. Eyes tearing bad.

I can recommend Zombeavers on Netflix. The film is very tongue in cheek; for instance, it makes no secret that the teens in the film are being attacked by zombie beaver puppets. It reminded me very much of the Evil Dead films in that the action is so completely over-the-top and gory. If you like slapstick horror, you'll enjoy Zombeavers.

Raw Force is excellent zombie kung fu cheese - it sounded iffy but they pulled it off.

Burying the Ex is a fun horror comedy, it's got less 'frat humor' and more retro horror references. Someone compared the premise to Life After Beth but it was played more straightforward than LaB with more romantic comedy elements. Better than it sounds, I enjoyed it.

I loved the last half of Zombeavers; once it gets past the obligatory character setup and sex jokes it goes for broke but getting there is another matter.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 11th Annual October Horror Movie Challenge (Oct 1-31) Pt

My screening of The Carrier seemed to be a great success last night. It was with me and four friends. I highly recommend watching it with a crowd. It was a totally different experience than when I watched it alone for the challenge last year. There were statements of disbelief from my friends throughout the movie. I know I haven't laughed more in the challenge this year. At the end of the movie, they were all shouting out their favorites lines. No surprise that cats or death was probably the most popular. I really have to introduce this film to some of my friends who weren't able to make it last night.

I followed that up with Eyes Without a Face. Talk about a contrast in styles! It took a while to get into the rhythm of it. In fact, 10 minutes into the film, I almost threw something else in because it was such an extreme change from what we had just seen, but I'm happy we stuck with it. It was a great movie and a great movie night.

My best friend who just moved back to the area this year told me yesterday that she and her husband are planning to make the 45-minute drive every Friday in October to participate. They want to take full advantage of being here during the challenge, so I can't wait to get out of work today and start preparations.

Only here can I be so unashamed to show my tastes....I really like Ilsa, Wicked Warden. As I recall it's less gory and more sexy than the first, which I guess makes sense with it not really being an Ilsa (I think it was Greta: The Mad Butcher originally).

Finished off last night's theme with Spirit of the Raped. Shaw Bros. horror never disappoints, and this one's right up there with Black Magic and Seeding of a Ghost. I love how the townsfolk in these are always privy to local superstition and just dismiss everything strange as the workings of a 'vengful ghost' as if it's the norm. That pulsating growth emanating from your shoulder? Oh, that's just a "ghost ulcer". And then after all the batshit crazy insanity is over, they cap it off by running what's essentially a PSA trying to dismiss it as a morality tale.

These need Blu-ray releases so very bad!

Here's a bunch to steal from. They aren't all horror specific but enough are generic enough to be useful.
Whoa, thank you!

I always get a kick out of The Loved Ones. Never thought I would get the DVD, but ended up with the Blu when Amazon.UK had a nice sale.

I've seen both Burying the Ex and Life After Beth. Much prefered Burying the Ex, but both were fun.

Great, great movie. I really need to pick it up.

I am just going to go against the grain and state that the 2009 Friday The 13th movie is very underrated. I just finished watching it (off work today) and it gets better with every viewing. I do agree that they need to go back to the camp counselor scenario but this was the next best thing. Lots of nods to the original series and it is its own movie. It isn't really a remake. Scenes of gratuitous nudity, some hilarious lines and some good kills. Add that into a solid Jason and you have a great Friday The 13th movie. I just don't get the hate. Oh yeah, and the chick with the "perfect nipple placement" has some of the best tits in horror movie history.

Now I doubled that up today with the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) and that thing is a mess. I actually think it gets worse with each viewing. Sadly, there is not much good I can say about it.

Took a break from F13 and just finished another episode of Paranormal Home Inspectors on Netflix. I discovered it last challenge, and am enjoying revisiting the show.
