Star Trek: The Motion Picture lost my attention during the first hour but then it got it back during the second hour. I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. I wish I had seen the Star Trek episode that led into the movie because I was slightly behind at the beginning of the movie but then I figured out what was going on. I'll eventually add the other movies to my list to be watched.

If you continue with the movies you'll want to watch S1E22, "Space Seed," from the original Star Trek TV series as it provides historical context for what you see in the 2nd movie, Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. It's not a "necessary" watch but absolutely helps you understand the motivations of the actions in that movie.

An Affair to Remember is just another Romantic Drama type movie. Good acting and a slightly different premise but somewhat predictable and quite boring most of the time. Absolutely not my type of movie. I've seen it... won't bother again.

Royal Wedding was fun movie. I enjoyed the dancing and most of the songs. I also enjoyed the storyline with the siblings. I would recommend it to someone else.

The Prisoner is a type of torture movie. In an unnamed East European country where communist tyranny has recently replaced Nazi tyranny, a Cardinal (Alec Guinness) is falsely accused of treason. Having withstood similar torture techniques from the Nazis he withstands his captors. The lead antagonist is an old associate of the Cardinal's but now a Communist attempting to get the Cardinal to confess.
It's OK but very talky and just a bit predictable. I fell asleep on it twice.

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was definitely better than the first movie. BobO'Link recommended that I watch Star Trek S1E22: Space Seed before watching the second movie. I think that really gave me some good background information for the movie and made me more interested in what was going on. If you've never seen The Wrath of Khan then I recommend watching that episode before you watch the movie.
