Thanks for the report. I'm going to try to get another title in and get my stats fixed up tomorrow. I beat my performance from last year, but 2013 is still my record with 55 films watched.

Re: Sixth Annual Drive-in/Exploitation/B-movie Challenge April 1-30 2015
My bad, I started to watch Wanted http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062047/reference but then I switched it to Sartana in the Valley of Death http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0066333/reference because I'm Trevor and my OCD can't let me watch the first movie in the set, Buddy Goes West, and later jump to the 3rd movie on the menu.
I did 40 films for this challenge, nearly half of them westerns (19), 29 first-time viewings. Mostly from the U.S., but 7 from Hong Kong and 6 from Japan. Best was THE FALL OF AKO CASTLE (SWORDS OF VENGEANCE, 1978, Japan), a Kinji Fukasaku retelling of the tale of the 47 Ronin. A bunch of the westerns were good, esp. THE OUTLAW STALLION, FURY AT GUNSIGHT PASS, WYOMING RENEGADES, BLACK HORSE CANYON, THE TALL STRANGER, THE WALKING HILLS and TEN WANTED MEN. And I did like GIANT OF MARATHON a lot, the one Italian film I saw for the challenge.
I started tons of movies I didn't finish.

Thank you to everyone involved with putting together the challenge and thank you to everyone who participated! I had a great time.
I managed to (finally) hit 100 films this year. Ended with 102. Probably will be finalizing my list sometime next week.

Well I made it to 62 movies, beating my goal of 60 by just a bit.
I didn't finish on a high note but with a lackluster "thriller" from one of the Roger Corman triple features DVDs called Cover Girl Models. Overall though I really enjoyed this year's challenge. It seemed like I was much more in tune with low budget and just plain bad movie making that I was last year.
I watched six David L. Hewitt epics and I thought the two earliest were really boring (including Wizard of Mars which I had wanted to see for a while now) but the rest were at least watchable and The Lucifer Complex was strangely entertaining. I also got four Jerry Warren movies done with Man Beast being surprisingly good. All this in a B-movie kind of way of course. I think the best thing I saw was Massacre Mafia Style although there were others I had a great time watching. The hardest ones to get through were two Crown International pics, The Pink Angels and especially Blood Mania. If ever there was a misleading title ....
So thanks to everyone who took part and extra thanks to caligulathegod for taking care of business.
Now it's on to more B-movie goodness with Poverty Row Studios in the MYOC.

I DIDN'T get to Repo! again this year... I guess there's always October... Hey, you guys with Musical themes for MYOC in May could use that!

Re: Sixth Annual Drive-in/Exploitation/B-movie Challenge April 1-30 2015
I just couldn't get into it this year and stuff around the house kept getting in the way . I only watched 60 films, but I still had fun and enjoyed most of the films I watched. Last week I hit a brick wall with a MC comedy set I picked up a couple of years back. The next disc to watch has 4 films that sound totally uninteresting (with at least two having very low IMDB ratings). The problem is my OCD won't allow me to just skip that disc for the next one so there it sits taunting me... Everything else I picked up to possibly watch works for other challenges (mainly the SF/Fantasy and Horror ones) and I kept putting them down to hold for those instead.

The Babadook counts in this challenge? I thought it was rated way too high to count.

Managed 43 films this year. Not a banner one, but still saw some great films. I'd call Michael Winner's The Mechanic my favorite, along with the documentary The Search for Weng Weng.

I didn't have as good of an effort as I did last year, but I am happy with the 49 films I got in. I also managed to complete the checklist with the use of some of the allotted free spots which is always a goal for me.
It was too late to count, but I also went to a fun 13.5 hour exploitation marathon at Exhumed Film's ExFest yesterday. It was a really good mixture with only one real turd in the bunch.
Assault on Precinct 13
Ninja Busters
Cockfighter (aka Born to Kill)
Flesh Gordon
Street Law
Poor Pretty Eddie
Forced Entry (aka The Last Victim)
Fleshpot on 42nd Street

I'd prefer a full summary of any stats noted in the lists, like total watched, first time views, etc. Any thing you actually kept track of. I may or may not include them in any final tally, but you have no idea how hard it is to count * or whatever is used for stuff like first time views.
So, something like:
Total = 100
First time views = 78
Those, I think are the most important stats in this challenge. I'm not as ambitious as Chad where I can actually come up with something unique for each participant.
Also, Prizes. I kind of dropped the ball and didn't follow up on GoldenWheels offer. I feel guilty taking advantage of him and taking his offer for granted.

I'm also considering retiring from hosting the challenge (but will still participate). If anyone is interested and has a vision for the challenge, let me know. You can either run it the same way, with safe lists and broad categories, or whatever your ideas might be.

^^I don't think any of us here participate for prizes but rather the joy of watching stuff with the side benefit of reducing the unwatched piles.
I'm sure he'd still have stuff if you're really interested in pursuing that avenue - just drop him a PM. And if not... I don't think anyone would mind.

My list is finalized.
Top 10 FTVs:
Raw Force
The Room
Runaway Nightmare
Ninja
Hollywood Boulevard
The Hard Ride
The Amazing Mister Bickford
Armour of God 2: Operation Condor
Mad Monkey Kung Fu
Honorable mention: Trailer War
Bottom 10 FTVs:
She-Man: A Story of Fixation
Contamination .7
Wacky Taxi
Voodoo Dolls
Leprechaun 6: Back to Tha Hood
The Brick Dollhouse
Evil Bong 420
Cry Your Purple Heart Out
White Rat

No insufferable Crown Int flicks made the worst list, and only one accidental repeat viewing of a forgettable film (Sex Madness). All in all it was a great time, despite not getting to participate near as much as I'd hoped to.

Re: Sixth Annual Drive-in/Exploitation/B-movie Challenge April 1-30 2015
I love Hollywood Boulevard. The descriptions always made it sound like sub-par Corman, what with half of it being reused scenes, but it's become one of my favorites. Plus it has Candice Rialson, who is my biggest crush from this challenge, and Mary Woronov at her hottest.
