Just wondering again about shorts, as my question was never answered earlier. I just want to know if my Three Stooges shorts would be eligible, or just my movies.

I'm not sure if it will count for the challenge, but a really awful Horror film came out in 2006 featuring Rey Misterio Sr.. He plays a killer Mexican Wrestler.

I'd think they are eligible as they were produced by the "Short Subjects" unit of Columbia Pictures. Such divisions are typically run like "B" units, although the Stooges were popular enough that Harry Cohn would refuse to allow theaters to run Stooge 2-reelers unless they also booked Columbia "B" films.

Ok, thanks. I thought I remembered that they were in the B Unit.

Mini-series and Serials: We will go with the Sci-Fi rule on TV Mini-series (one "night" equals an entry), on Serials we'll go with an hour's worth per entry, provided they actually were theatrical serials. A serial episode is about 15-20 minutes, so an hour's worth counts as an entry. Four-15 minute ones or Three-20 minute episodes. This goes for other shorts and compilations as well.

Ok, I was wondering how to count shorts too.

Canton Viper
Legendary Weapons of China
Magnificent Butcher
Five Element Ninja
Eight Diagram Pole Fighter

anybody have picks that are on Prime, Hulu, Netflix or You Tube let me know.

Nothing specific, but I know there are some ninja movies on Prime, and Bloodsport is on Netflix.

I watched all of them except Canton Viper for the Action Challenge. If you want to continue watching Shaw Brothers movies and you have Hulu Plus, type "Shaw Brothers" and you'll see a few titles. Most of them are English Dubbed unfortunately.

I almost watched this for the action challenge but decided to hold it for this one.

I've never heard of CANTON VIPER (and there's no record of it on IMDB) but you can't go wrong with the other four.

Haven't been around these parts much lately and had a chance to read all the posts, so sorry if this is old news:

Miami Connection Blu-ray $18.99 @ Amazon

Is this being reissued and no longer out of print? Whatever the case, I'm just glad to get a second chance and not have to fork over those insane eBay prices.

It's sold by the distributor so it's either been printed up again or they found some in the attic.

Holy cow, check Camel Camel Camel.

I just picked up Massacre Mafia Style Blu-ray + DVD Combo that came out a week ago. I had waited forever for Grindhouse to release it and then never picked it up. Glad I waited.

And speaking of Stooges, just in time for the challenge, Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Three Stooges Collection - Volume One - Triple Feature - Blu-ray (Time Out for Rhythm, Rockin' in the Rockies and Have Rocket, Will Travel)
Three Stooges Collection - Volume Two - Triple Feature - Blu-ray (The Three Stooges Meet Hercules, Three Stooges Go Around The World In A Daze and The Outlaws Is Coming)

AKA as Kwandong Viper (1983). A Korean Martial Arts movie that was directed and acted by Hwang Jang Lee (the Korean Kick Master and baddie from Drunken Master).

Drafthouse authored up new discs a few months back. Definitely encourage everyone to pick this up!

We have a new drive-in theater (3 screens) opening in these parts. With any luck I'll be able to catch a double feature for the challenge.

Yeah, any movie at an actual drive-in is eligible.

Must be nice. Our local drive in was bulldozed long ago to make room for a multiplex. I haven't seen a drive in movie since I was a kid, when my parents took me to see Gremlins.

Wow! I'm surprised new ones are opening! I'd love to take the grandkids to one but all in this area closed *long* ago.

My office is about where the snack bar was located at one of the drive-ins that *used* to be here. The other is now a field.

Nice! We have a drive-in near us in Rhode Island but I'm not sure if it's open in April.

Found a copy of Death Game (1977) for $5.95 while hanging out with one of my best friends yesterday

Will be perfect for the challenge!

Looks good. Love Colleen Camp. Found a VHS rip on Youtube, as well.

I recently picked up a copy of Shout's Damnation Alley and was wondering if post-apocalyptic-sploitation was a category, but Jan-Michael Vincent is on the safe list!
