TV on DVD* Challenge: The Fifth Season Discussion Thread

Re: TV on DVD* Challenge: The Fifth Season Discussion Thread
Well, I made it to 169 separate TV episodes and 99 distinct series!
I saw episodes from 16 series I'd never seen before and three from series I'd never even heard of before! I discovered those by either randomly finding them on YouTube or looking up some actor or director's credits and finding TV series I'd never heard of and then looking them up on YouTube to see if there were any eps. uploaded.
I saw 92 American TV eps., 62 Japanese TV eps. and the rest from 5 other countries.
I saw a lot of westerns but I saw twice as many sci-fi series (U.S. and Japan).
Less than a third, overall, were animated.
I saw more eps. from the '60s than any other decade (although the '90s and 2000s were well-represented, thanks to Power Rangers and related shows). But I saw something from every decade from the 1940s to the 2010s.
Most were seen on DVD, but quite a few were seen on VHS and on TV as they actually aired. I also saw several on YouTube and a couple on Blu-ray.
I'm Post #7 in the List Thread, if anyone wants to check it out.

Congrats everyone! I'll give everyone a couple/few days to finish up their lists and then do some compiling.

Finished Friends and came very close to finishing Stargate Atlantis, while keeping up with most of the tv I'm watching now.
Thanks to all that make the challenges possible!

While I didn't finish the 200 hour challenge (or get anywhere close), I did finish my 4 main goals and some of my side goals. So all in all I think I did pretty well. Thank you for everyone that helps run the challenge, this is one of my favorites

Hard to break a month-long habit. Still watching TV episodes even though the Challenge has ended, including several things I meant to watch during the month (e.g. continuing with "Rose of Versailles"). However, an email from someone prompted me to look up Bruce Lee's TV credits this morning, which prompted me to look on YouTube, where I found the episode of "Here Come the Brides" on which he appeared. It wasn't very good and it wasn't much of a part, but for Bruce Lee completists, here it is:

I've finalized my list - so much Murder, She Wrote! I've watched two and a half season this past month, and I started the next season yesterday. Looks like I'm not breaking my addiction to the globetrotting antics of Jessica Fletcher or those nice episodes she spends in Cabot Cove, the murder capital of the world!
Unfortunately, I was sidetracked by beginning-of-the-year ennui and didn't start any of the various series I'm suppose to. No Breaking Bad or The Sopranos for me. This month I needed to watch familiar things from formulaic genres.
I had a great time with my month of intense television viewing, and like Ash, I'm still at it!

My list is finalized, though I may go through and see if I can mark a few more checklist items off as I did not do that as I was watching.

Just look at Chad's horror challenge recap threads, Trevor. That should give you an idea of what we're expecting from you.

Yes, and the recap must be done by Friday.
Seriously, don't knock yourself out. Whatever you do will be fine with me. My list is finalized, but since I don't make any final tally for this challenge let me know if you want any specific stats and I can calculate it for you.

I've worked every day this week (I work 12 hour shifts so nothing gets done until days off), but I'm off this weekend and will put something together. And next year I'm going to start marathoning again darn it, I have like 300 seasons of TV on DVD to watch.

Congrats to the winners, and thank you Travis and Trevor for a great challenge. I'm still finding myself watching various TV shows and sporting events. Just last night I watched UFC 179, and followed it with Wrestlemania 6, and an episode of WWE Nxt. I find it enjoyable to see the new, up and coming wrestlers as they are the future WWE Superstars.
