Tomorrow night, baby! I have to work tomorrow night so i'll get a late start. I'll miss the 30th dusk starting time. But I have a few days off in the week to make up for it.

Can't wait. Watched Gojira earlier today for the Criterion Challenge to get me in the mood.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 10th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

Just a heads up... People have two subset lists going around.

I have one with Here comes the devil on the 29th, but there is another with Rats on the 29. Just a heads up to make sure we are all on the same page.

Version 1
--- 10/28: shadokitty - Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)
--- 10/29: Melmoth - Here Comes the Devil (2012)
--- 10/30: ntnon - The Possession (2012)
--- 10/31: jacob_b - Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982)

Version 2
10/26: Oculus
--- 10/27: The House That Dripped Blood
--- 10/28: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood
--- 10/29: Rats: Nights of Ter
--- 10/30: Here's Comes the Devil
--- 10/31: Halloween III: Season of the Witch

According to Chad's list on the first page of the list thread, it's Rats on the 29th and Here Comes the Devil on the 30th.

The Possession was one of last year's subset films.

It was a good idea, and it has been added. Sometimes I just need a reminder.

And yes, between struggling to get all this done in time, barely making the blurb/newsletter deadline, wondering why the additional potential sponsors are apparently no longer responding to my emails after agreeing to sponsor us, and juggling a few work-related issues on top of that, well, excuse me if I'm a bit stressed out at this point.

Appreciate the head's up. On the copy & paste portion I mistakenly put the 10/30 entry on 10/29, excluded the 10/29 entry altogether and included last year's entry for 10/30! Anyway, it's been fixed on all 3 subset lists.

"Death by beheading" means all forms of decapitation, right? Beacuse (For a second there) I thought there was new trend of horror movies that featured Islamic maniacs.

If it includes the removal of a head by means of a sharp object or otherwise, it counts. And I'm glad you brought that up because decapitation gives 600+ more results than "beheading" does.

Yeah, and we're almost at the magic number of 800 posts, which means part 2. Gotta keep tradition alive, right?

It's funny, but if you are one to smoke, I'd def do it for this movie.

Tomorrow I'm starting with Tusk. My friend and I want to watch it before it goes out of theaters, so decided to watch it tomorrow and saw Box Trolls today. Hoping Tusk pays off even with the low box office numbers.

The Checklist looks great! Maybe tomorrow I will break my usual tradition of weakly only watching one film after dusk and will actually get in two. I need to build up good early numbers if I want to hit the 100 mark this year. Fortunately, I do have a couple cross-over Criterions to watch for that purpose.

If any of you are comic book readers and interested, we're doing a DVDTalk Horror Comic Book Challenge for October. Very small scale, just a thread to motivate us to read our scary books and discuss them in a thread. Goal of one a day, nothing fancy like checklists or themes, lots of free books online if you don't have access to anything.

Finally decided on my Criterion crossover-pick....And I'll allow a fellow DVDtalker to provide me with the image:

^Since I haven't watched that since the 1st challenge, it'll be a nice nod for the 10th challenge

Looks great. I'm on the lookout for GP-rated movies. Horror of the Blood Monsters used to be on youtube and it's trailer featured that greatest VO ever for a GP-rated movie

Being sick this last week took away my time from noodling with how my list will look, and I don't want to waste time tinkering with it once the challenge starts, so I pretty much just did a copy/paste job from last year's. Pumped for tomorrow night.

Have some Friday the 13th and Afterlife with Archie comics on my computer that I'd love to read for this. I like the low-key element, just post and discuss. Be pretty busy with this challenge, so I probably won't be able to do 1 per day, but will get a few in.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 10th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/

Eh, well it's way past dusk here and I've watched my first 1.5 films. Gingerdead Man was really bad and hurt me. I also watched the Omnibus episode of 'Whistle and I'll Come To You' which has been popping up on random horror lists, but I fail to see what's really horror-y about it. Two duds so far, and I won't get much in tomorrow, so let's hope it picks up soon
