My list is finalized, didn't get too far this year (Work, GTA5, etc). Always fun though, looking forward to next year!

My list is already finalized. Didn't get through as much as I wanted to, but I think 55 is good for my first time doing the challenge. If I do this again next year, I hope to explore the subset picks and themes nights. I enjoyed the Leprechaun movies in a so bad its good kind of way, and hated The Human Centipede. It was disgusting with no redeeming value as a horror movie.

My list is finalized. Never get as many titles in as I'd like but I had a blast watching the Friday the 13th Blu-ray set with Crystal Lake Memories. I finally got around to watching the Hammer House of Horror DVD set that I have had for years along with other first time viewings so it was another fun horror challenge.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 9th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (Oct 1-31) P
My list is finalized.
First time viewings I liked the most:
Pumpkinhead
The Entity
Insidious
Most pleasant surprises:
Fido - I knew nothing about this clever satire going into it
Ticks - A blind buy that may be my favorite nature run amok movie ever.
First time viewings I liked the least:
Track of the Moon Beast
The Massage Parlor Murders
Most disappointing:
Blood Freak - I had high hopes for such a bizarre sounding movie.
And once again thanks to everyone and an especially huge thanks to Chad.

My list is finalized. After starting the stats, I kinda got into it and can see how you guys enjoy doing it.
Final stats:
Total movies watched = 71
First time views = 46 (65%)
Formats used = 27 BD, 27 streaming, 15 DVD, 2 cable/DVR
Decades watched = 1910s (0), 1920s (0), 1930s (1), 1940s (0), 1950s (1), 1960s (3), 1970s (6), 1980s (21), 1990s (7), 2000s (9), 2010s (23)
Most popular year watched - 2012 @ 11 films
Challenges completed - Subset checklist (and any other challenge that comes from completing the subset list if there is any)
Soundtracks listened to: 11
Graphic Novels read: 2
Magazines read: 2
Books read: 1 (text) & 1 (audio)
Best first time viewings which earned 4.5 or higher stars:
1. Rammbock (2010 - streaming - Netflix - *****): Loved, loved, loved this. A way better zombie film than the big budget WWZ that I watched earlier. (thanks to whoever recommended this in the challenge threads!)
2. Sinister (2012 - BD - Redbox - ****1/2): Extremely creepy movie had me in goose flesh for the majority of it. I would have edited the ending a little different but other than that, great movie!
3. The Reef (2010 - streaming - Netflix - ****1/2): see my thoughts in the review thread.
4. In Their Skin (2012 - DVD - Netflix - ****1/2): see my thoughts in the review thread.
Worst first time viewings which earned 1 star or below:
1. Cruel World (2005 - BD - Netflix - 1/2): This could be the winner of the worst horror film I have watched this month. Good concept but horrible execution. Just terrible.
2. Eyes Of Fire (1983 - streaming - YouTube - *): see my thoughts in the review thread.
3. The Devil's Carnival (2012 - streaming - Netflix - *): see my thoughts in the review thread.
4. The Wicker Man (2006 - BD - Netflix - *): This movie is awful. Not even watching it as a comedy for Cage's acting could make me sit thru this again.
5. The Wicker Tree (2011 - BD - Netflix - *): Horrible sequel to the original classic with horrible music and a horrible story. Why was this made?

My list is final. Had such fun reading everyone's lists, plenty of suggestions for backlog for next year.
My top 6 new views (no particular order, five felt like one too few)
1. ParaNorman (2012)
2. Encounter of the Spooky Kind II (1990)
3. The Cabin in the Woods (2012)
4. The Vampire Lovers (1970)
5. The Monster and the Girl (1941)
6. Nosferatu the Vampyre (1979)
I did see Tucker and Dale on Nov. 2... that probably would have made this list as well.

It's just too bad that everyone died.
That would be cool! I briefly considered trying to work extra hard to get it done in time for Halloween night next year, but I'd rather be having an epic horror movie marathon that night. Maybe Chad will count it as an optional short next year.
There there, if you completed the subset challenge you'll recognize a lot of the movies in the montage. It was a lot of work, while watching every movie I was taking notes of iconic shots I wanted to include, listing the exact time they appear in the movie, etc.
Thank you! I'm glad that everybody enjoyed it. After a month of watching movie after movie and drinking pumpkin ale, things start to blur together. So I'm glad I have this video so I can go back and relive the experience. "Oh yeah, I watched all 4 Scream movies, A Nightmare Before Christmas and Paranorman had beautiful claymation, oh look there's Shakma humping doors again..."
