This has been stalled at preorder on Amazon forever (there isn't even a listing for it on Amazon.ca) despite the digital versions being out both on Amazon and iTunes for awhile.

As an aside there isn't even a dvd listjng - just Blu...anyone else thinking this is a lost cause?

Maybe... but since the show won't be back until May 2014, a retail push/awareness for Season Three may be part of the marketing plan for Season Four.

There's a logic to that esp since S1 was released as a Blu/DVD combo disc, S2 was sold in either DVD or Blu flavours and now S3 just has a Blu preorder so if Fox is trying to figure out the right forumla it would make sense to just release a Blu (or DVD) edition before giving up on an optical release.

I suspect it'll still get a release, around the time S4 premieres. It's still pretty common to wait until the next season begins before releasing on disc.

May 5th is still far enough away that they could announce something. If April 1st comes and goes and there is still no release date, then I'd be concerned.

Yeah, I'm still feeling optimistic. Could go the MOD route, I suppose, but I'd be shocked if it didn't end up on disc in some form.

With pulling Bobs Burgers and Clevrland Show from non-mod releases if they pull this here (mod release or no release) Ill give up on future Fox shows and whatever game they're playing.

I don't really get what is happening with the release of this show. I really liked this season, so I'll be bummed if they end up not releasing it at all.

I dont even have cable so Im replying on this set just to WATCH this season so Im pretty bummed too.

Additionally Louie isnt carries on Netflix Canada plus Id want to own it anyways.

But like with The Exes its forcing me to consider if I'lll need to buy the hardware to get into the Apple ecosystem since it feels like they're trying to kill off physical media.

That is entirely possible. Amazon still has it up for pre-order but no release date at the moment. If it were out in 2 weeks, I suspect they'd have the date listed by now.

It's an MOD release, none of the other titles Amazon announced that day (American Dad S9, Bob's Burgers S3, New Normal S1, Last Man Standing S1-2, Wilfred S3, Glades S4) have been listed yet either. In the past, Amazon MODs have often only been listed on the day of release.

Of course, a delay is possible, but I don't see any need to think that yet.

I wonder if this is only coming to DVD or if it'll get a Blu-ray release too. As far as I know Amazon doesn't do MODs for Blu-ray so I assume if they're releasing it it'll be on DVD only which is unfortunate. I really like the show though so will be getting this at some point (I just recently started watching it and actually need to get the first two seasons too).

I can't see it getting a BD release, personally. Amazon have done some MOD Blus - eg Once - but never with a Fox TV show, and I can't really imagine the demand is there if even the DVDs didn't sell well enough to stay pressed.

I never actually purchased the MOD of Season 3. And now I see an MOD of Season 4 is finally coming.

I don't care that's DVD and not BD, but has anyone ever purchased one of these DVD-R things?

All kinds of complaints about how it doesn't play very well. Seems like a shitty way to treat a great show.
