Yikes! My house still carries a faint scent of the stink from Part 2.

Apparently Scream Factory is going to announce the upcoming release of a slasher movie from the 1980s tomorrow that they claim has a sizable following.

I'm not sure how I would count them as shorts would be to complicated to figure out. Maybe list but not count but my finales might be the halloween themed DVD of the Three Stooges I own.

This is the first year that I've had 100% first time viewings... and I'm still going to have about 15 movies left over.

I'm closing out the challenge with Cabin in the Woods. Hopefully it's as good as everyone says.

Your average Three Stooges short is about 20 minutes, so six shorts would count as an item entry.

Just finished The Ghost Train (1941) an Arthur Askey movie. I've had the dvd on my amazon.co.uk wish list for a fair bit and now that I've seen it, I'll be including it in my next UK order (when ever that is). Lot's of good comedy and it does build the dread reasonably well (name-checks 'The Signal-man', I believe), for a horror comedy made in '41.

It's entertaining but I think when you watch it you'll see how much more interesting it could have been.

Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go to College... I should have known better...

The Antichrist (1974) wasn't nearly as lurid as I had thought it would be.

Dark Side of the Moon (1990) was fun, it's got some familiar elements but so unconventional twists and the dated style/technology is fun.

I love the ending to Cabin In the Woods.

Does The Killer Eye take place on Halloween? Or Just The Killer Eye: Halloween Haunt.

I don't know if I can stand watching both in one day.

Well wishes here too, Shellebelle.

I made it to 100 movies, finally! I was worried for a bit there.

I watched my old DVD for Ginger Snaps last night and I was surprised to learn that there has not been a Blu-ray release yet. I guess I'll have to try tracking down the Canadian SE DVD at some point.

Best wishes shellebelle!

Can someone remind me in the expanded checklist, are the "or's" counted only once? If I watch --- Fay Wray -and- Edward Van Sloan, that counts as one or two of the 10 actors?

Aaahhh! Just had a power outage. Of course. Today.

Rob probably refused -- He said he was through making horror movies on That Metal Show earlier this year.

The checklist inspired me to muse, yes..!

Makes sense.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 9th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (Oct 1-31) P

I watched Uncle Sam (1996) last night for a film that takes place on a holiday and really enjoyed it. It's really not very good, but I don't care. I had fun with it!

And, that finished off the basic checklist for me. I've never come close to completing any checklist in any challenge because I just don't have time to watch 100 movies in a month like many of you. I started out watching what I wanted and checked it off if it fit and realized about half way through the month I had a chance to complete it.

I took that as a challenge and just watched Halloween Night.

Maybe my brain is mush at this point, but it actually wasn't bad for an Asylum film.

About to look at the checklist and worried that I'll find too many holes to fill in time.

3. Halloween II (1981)
4. Halloween (1978)
5. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995)
6. Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)
7. Halloween 5 (1989)
8. Halloween: Resurrection (2002)

Well I just beat last year's number, now at 111. My highest was 127 back in 2010. Part of me wants to relax and enjoy the rest of Halloween, and the other part of me wants to burn through 'till dawn and make it to 128. Hmmm...

Today's highlight: Maniac Cop 2 RAP

I don't think I've ever watched Halloween III: Season of the Witch, but found it much better than I thought.

All done! 38 movies watched, 33 videos made. Here's the finale if you weren't following along.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 9th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (Oct 1-31) P

Finished up last night with Halloween (1978), definately worthy of the praise, and the new bluray is very good. Maybe next year I will watch more of the Halloween movies. Final thoughts, I really enjoyed Trick r' Treat, surprised this never made it to the Theatre, but read online a sequel is in the works. I ran out of time for the Evil Dead Series and some other movies. Will definately give the challenge another try, and might try the theme nights and subsets viewings next year.
