I don't think I've ever seen Kino discs with $24.99 list prices that cheap. Of course, with the recently announced Keaton box, we could see a similar Bava box, but that likely wouldn't be until next summer.

They do, but I'm patiently waiting for the 3D Blu-ray to drop under $20.

Very excited! Might DVR the episode and watch it tomorrow.

I will definitely look over my start time

It's getting dark as I type this so I'm getting prepared. I hate having to work tomorrow. I noticed the last few years, I would watch about 15-20 movies in the first couple of days alone. I'm not going to be able to do that this year but hopefully I'll still keep a steady pace throughout the month versus weening off a couple of times during the month like I have before.

Going to kick things off with The Great Pumpkin, then Attack of the Block and move into M and Kuroneko for my Criterion theme.

Happy Challenge everyone! And thanks again to Chad for keeping up the tradition (particularly in the midst of everything else he's got going on).

Ditto! It gets dark here in a little under 2 hours. Going to start with white noise 2 (which will expire on netflix streaming by midnight) then repulsion, haxan: witchcraft through the ages, and kuroneko if I can manage that before I crash because I am sleep deprived on fibromyalgia bad combination haha. For tomorrow I plan to watch maniac, blacula, and maniac cop should be a fun urban horror night! All of these are first time views, let the horror challenge commence!

Rookie mistake, getting married during OHMC. I say divorce her and get re-married on Christmas day. Will save you lots of money on presents too!

I think there should be some option to count the Ghost to Ghost stuff that Coast to Coast AM does for Halloween weekend. Pretty much one of the few reasons to still listen to that show.

And it's dark! I'm full of hydrocodone, espresso and Nutella, so that puts me in the mood for some Naschy and will be switching gears by kicking it off with Latidos de pánico. Just can't break my starting with a cheesy 1980's movie tradition. And that'll probably be followed by Island of Lost Souls afterward and who's knows what after that.

It's dusk here, but football is keeping me from watching anything right now. I'll probably watch one before midnight, and then when midnight hits, toss in Cabin in the Woods as a "teen scream" film (following some dumb, fun guidelines I made for myself).

Hope everyone has an incredible month of horror. Cheers!

Streaming Kuroneko (so far the samurai/bamboo Japanese vibe is cool) then Phantom Carriage followed by Hitchcock's The Birds then maybe Equinox (I want to watch and compare to Evil Dead)... then I'll have to decide on some violent sleaze (probably try Vamp, strip club vampires).

If you mean the Disney Cartoon, that qualifies as horror?

Been an exhausting day, and I'm just too tried to be able to stay up for a movie, so I guess I won't be starting till tomorrow.

Double-checked my times for 'dusk' because it was brought up.

New start time is 7:20pm!

Not that 32 minute head start even mattered. I've never hit 100, don't care about cheating.

All I want is to indulge in my love of Horror films/movies for one full month, almost non-stop.

I like how some of you have incorporated the "Getting To Know Me..." from my list into yours.

thanks to your brilliant idea its a good way to get to know everyone's horror history, it'd be cool if everyone did it because it gives a personal touch to each person's list.

Damn I missed getting in on the subset this year.

The stating at dusk thing is kind of neat but I'm going to wait until midnight, it just feels right.
