Re: Futurama Vol. 1 - 4 reissues 7/10

noooo! good idea, but anybody who even mildly enjoys Futurama already has Seasons 1-4. The completist in me needs them, but they'll be at least $29.99 per set, and with the number of episodes double what 5 & 6 had, I hate to imagine. I wonder if they will scrunch the each season's 4-discs down to 2-discs?

I like those a lot but likely will never get them.

I also like Morbo, but that seems like an odd choice.

Awesome covers.

On a related note, does anyone know what style of packaging the recent Simpsons S1-10 reissues are? e.g. http://www.amazon.com/The-Simpsons-C.../dp/B007KFZ85K

If these were blu I'd upgrade, otherwise they are awesome but not worth re-purchasing...

Considering I already have Volumes 1-4 in the original packaging, the viva packaging re-release, and as part of the complete series in the Bender head...I think I'll pass.

The only reason this would be nice is to have all of the seasons and the movies in consistent packaging.

I still don't understand why the four movies weren't put into a volume. It seems weird that they just sorta ignored them when they started the new episodes up.

Interesting. I've been waiting for repackages for years. I have the head boxes and they take up a lot of space.

Why isn't Amazon selling these new Futurama sets?
I picked up mine at HMV $16.99 each during this week's TV series sale 30% Off.
These are the same discs as released previoiusly, except with disc labels and packaging re-done to match 5 & 6 DVDs.
If you've bought the Blus of 5 & 6, 1-4 they won't match.

Volume 7 December 18th

They are selling them for $22.83 each. Here's the link for 4: Volume 4

You can find the links for the first three volumes under the Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought section of the volume 4 page. They just don't have pics up for the first three.

I read that these were widescreen...can anyone confirm or deny this?

1-4 are Fullframe, same as the original discs. They likely used the same masters and just put different labels on them. I'd like them to re-do in Blu-ray Hi-def.

I just want the first two movies on Blu-ray already.

How would that be possible when they were animated in 4:3?
