What's the name for this feature, and have other DVDs had it?
I was listening to the Tron: Legacy soundtrack this week, and was reminded of how good the music was, and how bad the film was. Then I wondered if the Blu-ray / DVD had a soundtrack only option, because I would happily buy that disc, just to see the visuals and the music.
This reminded me of the original Matrix DVD, which had the score, with the composer talking about each piece during the sections normally reserved for dialogue. I thought it worked wonderfully.
Is this a common special feature? Do other films have this?

Isolated score audio track would seem to be a more common feature than one with commentary.

Composer Trevor Rabin does a commentary on the score in Ahnuld's The 6th Day: SE. An isolated 5.1 track features the score, along with occasional interjections from Rabin, who chats about the various instrumentation used to set particular moods, among other things.

Not really an isolated score per se, but wasnt there a version of Apollo 13 that would play through the entire score if you left it sitting on the menu?

A lot of the earlier Universal Collector's Editions had the entire score play on some of the menus. On first viewing I've always let menus play all the way through, so this is pretty cool.
