Technically, the only reason it'll be expensive when you try and sell your copy is because you over paid for it and you can buy it new for $1.99. So you end up losing even more when you try and sell it.

I just checked the price history for High Fidelity. For the last few months, it's the lowest it's ever been yet the double feature has a higher ranking.

What have we all learned? Buying DVDs as an investment, as with any other investments, isn't always a good thing to do if you don't know what you're doing and you think OOP or John Cusack automatically = big bucks.

Amazon has changed their look a bit. (Also, picked up 13 copies of the DVD. Profit can't be far away.)

Too late boys. Daddy already got a loan from one of the check cashing places. I only had to use my car and family as collateral and I only pay 800% interest. Good thing I'll be able to sell these in a couple days for at least $50 each.

I just want to chime in and say that this is one of the funniest threads I have ever read in DVDTalk history.

I purchased this on DVD for around 50 cents used a few years ago. I wonder if I hold onto it for a few more years if it will be worth a down payment on a house? I may just hold on to it even when the Blu comes out.

Wait a sec... what about the other 9 things?

#2: Buy some stock specific to High Fidelity DVD's. Avoid the Blu-ray stock (which might even drop).
#3: Create a High Fidelity Amusement Park in the style of a used record shop. People can pretend listen to music and discuss their lives.
#4: Meet a cast member (somehow) and ask them to sign 5,000 copies of High Fidelity on DVD. They get 10%.
#5: Produce a spin-off: Low Fidelity. Starring Jack Black and the Muppets in a raunchy comedy... featuring muppets.
#6: Eat dinner.

#7. Find out how many copies of High Fidelity it takes to put next to each other for a secret image to appear on the spines. The copies have to be sealed of course. This will not only pay for the down payment, but you'll own that house free and clear!
