OOP Alert! Last Chance to Get Larry Clark's Kids for under $20

Everyone has at least heard of Kids (1995) and if you haven't seen it yet this may be the last month to get it for under $20. Used copies are still cheap for lower quality ones, but don't expect that to last either. This is a popular and very controversial film that's a super fast seller on Amazon.

If you've been interested in buying this then do yourself a favor and pull the trigger now before it's too late.

I don't know about that. It's averaged around $12.50 new over the last 3.5 years and used has been around $4.

I'll admit it wasn't bad when I was younger but not so much now. The director seems to have certain "issues" if you look at all the films he makes. I find that a little more interesting.

True, however, during the last 3.5 years it's been in print. It's gone now and nobody in the US is putting it out or has plans to do so.

Out of context, this header read really disturbingly.

Quality of this disc is pretty bad- it looks like it was taken directly from a laserdisc.

I bought it for $8 from best buy years ago, good to know I can try and shove it off the day the blu ray is announced.

I think it wouldn't have the same effect if it looked nice and polished. Being gritty looking just adds to the feeling that you're following some mentally challenged kids around.

Not talking about how the movie was filmed, there's some telltale signs that this was taken from a laserdisc master which are rather obvious if you're familiar with the format. Guess that still beats the many public-domain DVDs made from VHS masters, but still pretty bad for something close to a major studio.

One of the main kids in this (Casper I think) is already dead.

Most of the kids in this movie looked like they were on the path
to drug addiction, prison, and/or premature death.

When I was young, I knew a lot of kids like this. But they were
actually a small minority.

I wasn't overly impressed with this movie, except that it sends a
much needed message to kids about casual sex and contracting AIDs.

Casper hung himself.

I started reading up on this film. The casting process pretty much went like this:

This guy

drove around looking at young kids around the neighborhood, at skate parks or going up to a girl sitting on her porch and telling them that they're just right for a movie he's making.

I wonder how many kids he had to go through to find the ones that didn't have parents chasing him away or start getting creeped out?
