Metzger's film reccomendations
About to watch "The Lickerish Quartet" and I have viewed "The Alley Cats" and "Therese and Isabelle" of Metzger's. Anymore reccomendations worth watching? Thanks!

Re: Metzger's film reccomendations
Aha! I see now--you're looking for recommendations of films by Radley Metzger, not promoting the film preferences of someone named Metzger. Got it.
CAMILLE 2000 (1969) is the only Metzger film I've ever seen. I remember liking it and would love to see it again. |
Re: Metzger's film reccomendations
I like Camille 2000 too. Remember to get the extended version as it is better.

Re: Metzger's film reccomendations
The only film of his that I've liked (So far) is Score. But I've only seen the edited-cut. I'm sure the currently-found uncut version could be bound to make one queasy (You've been warned!)
The music score for Lickerish Quartet was the only thing I remembered most about it and Alley Cats, for me, was forgettable. But I'm still open to see more of his works. Don't really mean to sabotage the thread but when I first found out about Metzger, I found out about Joe Sarno the same time. Sarno has yet to disappoint me. |
Re: Metzger's film reccomendations
Never heard of Sarno..Thanks! "Therese and Isabelle" atmosphere is something I've never seen in a film and the lead actress in "The Alley Cats" is 1 of the prettiest I have seen. Thanks again. Got 17 mins. into "..Quartet" and my son woke-up:( ..looks promising though.
