I wouldn't mind seeing it once but not at that price and I don't believe it's as good as the single 5 star review claims it is.

I guess this begs the question, but why did you order part 2 without seeing the original? I enjoy the original for being a "big sleezy but fun to watch" mess. I have no inkling to see this sequel.

So how much does one need to pay to get a film submitted to Sundance?

The first has nothing to do with the second, they're just related in name only. I think he'll survive.

I've got to disagree. From the trailer they basically rip lines from the original and some of the original cast are in this film as well. I'd definitely recommend someone to watch the original first.

Let me sum up the complex masterpiece known as Showgirls, for those that missed out on the original. A girl goes to Las Vegas to be a showgirl. It's competitive and the current top dog doesn't like this new girl. Eventually, the new girl pushes the old top model out of her position. Some other girl gets raped.

If you've seen any ballet academy type movie, or Black Swan or The Turning Point, which is Black Swan minus the delusions, it's the same type of story. Just pretend they're in Las Vegas and they're showgirls. Now you've seen Showgirls.

Let me spoil Showgirls 2 now. Turn on Cinemax in the middle of the night. Now pretend they're showgirls and doing showgirl related stuff. Now you've seen Showgirls 2.
