There's some good films in it, like Bloodlust. Your classic safari hunter that wants to try hunting the world's most dangerous game...man!

Plan to break open my Cult Terror Drive In Set tonight, and it looks like the first movie in the set will be The Crater Lake Monster, as I am going in order.

[QUOTE=Chad;11181964]Here's a few where they're actually playing the part. And Galaxina.
Wow! Thanks, I missed this. I'm going to try and squeeze a couple of these in as I didn't get through much this weekend.

I live close to there, so that holds a special place even though it wasn't filmed there, nor does it look anything like Crater Lake.

Zalman King has unintentionally been a big part of my life the last few days. He starred in Blue Sunshine which I watched a couple days ago and now he stars in Trip With The Teacher. He has such a distinct face and is pretty damn good.

I've got FIST OF THE NORTH STAR, the 1986 movie spinoff of the TV series, lined up for this because of its ultraviolent content. WICKED CITY and THE PROFESSIONAL: GOLGO 13 would qualify also. AKIRA as a cult film. I've got FATAL FURY THE MOTION PICTURE and STREET FIGHTER II: THE ANIMATED MOVIE lined up as martial arts films. I'd stay away from TV series, but I'm guessing some OAV (made-for-video) would count, particularly the ones with high sex-and-violence content like the CRYING FREEMAN series and GOLGO 13: QUEEN BEE as well.
That's off the top of my head.

Last night i watched Walter Hill's The Driver. which is fantastic, and now i can't help but call shennanigans on Nicolas Winding Refn who claims he never saw The Driver before making his movie Drive and wasn't influenced by Hill's work. re-watching the two films opening scenes i can't see how thats possible.

....In which the author could have been influenced by The Driver.
All you've got left now is Galaxy of Terror!

Thoughts on the Evil Dead 2? Was only in 310 theaters with lifetime gross of < $6 million, but obviously very well received on RT (98%). Watching either way, but wanted to check.

I broke out my new R2 DVD of The Devils that arrived from Amazon UK, which by the way looks stunning and is loaded with features, including Mark Kermode's documentary on the film. Even though Ken Russell's deranged masterpiece stars A-listers Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave, the sheer excess of nudity and violence ought to qualify it for this challenge (at least for the Nunsploitation category).

Evil Dead 2 and The Devils aren't even questionable. They're a definite yes.

Yeah, it's based on Osamu Tezuka, who is sometimes called the Walt Disney of Japan. (Gee, just like Hayao Miyazaki.) You need the anime equivalent of Roger Corman, Mario Bava, or Jess Franco for this challenge.
BTW, SterlingBen, I'm really impressed by your view list so far. You've got three older Japanese ninja films that I'd never heard of: NINJITSU, NINJA HUNT and THE PURPLE HOOD NINJA. I have to track them down. Where'd you get them? Are they legit, subtitled releases?

Highly recommend Ninja Hunt btw.
Sorry I used to add set info to my entries but thought it looked a bit too jumbled to I dropped that.

I cheated a little with using their original poster so that I didn't have to use the same cover art over and over.
With the exception of sets I always try to get closest to the actual release I own, picturewise.

i started watching Game of Death on Netflix instant and i've soon realized this is the 78 re edited version which has about 11 minutes of the real Bruce lee in it and most of it are scenes taken from other movies and in one shot just a superimposed still photo of his face?
any thoughts if this counts as an actual Bruce Lee film or a Bruce Lee-sploitation?

Wow, the Abel Ferrara commentary for The Driller Killer was the most bizarre and creepiest I've listened to. The scene where the two girls are showering, he stops talking and you hear him making weird noises.

Technically, it's an actual Bruce Lee film although it is also the official start of Bruce Lee-Sploitation. There's over 100+ Bruce Li, Le films for the Lee-Sploitation category and only a handful of "real" Bruce films, so I prefer it counted as actual Bruce.

This challenge wasn't really conceived for Anime, so I defer to Ash for suitable fare. I'm sure there's something that fits. Sleazy is better. Maybe fetishy, as well. I'm thinking the kind of thing people think Anime is, but really isn't (but actually exists, anyway).
