That's on my 'avoid like the plague' list right ahead of George A. Romero Presents Deadtime Stories. Definitely in the bottom five films I caught during last year's challenge.

Yeah, I've been searching around on AMC and can't find it there either.

Googling seems to show that Netflix streams it.

Do you think it works with today's theme?

I tried there first, but also no luck. Ah well, I'm enjoying Rabid as my theme movie of the day.

But thanks Trevor! I don't feel like quite so much an idiot now...

Not really. It's more in the realm of Eco-Terror.

movie # 2- Never Sleep again- One of the best documentaries on movies i've seen i a long time. It's sad that this doc is more detailed and in depth than anything lucas has put out on Star Wars.

It seems like a lot of the movies had to be trimmed down to get an R. I wonder if we'll ever get the uncut versions on blu in the future?

Also didn't know how gay Nightmare 2 was! I have to go back and watch that movie again

Ghost movies today, specifically with a pair of asian horror movies and maybe some other foreign one. Just watched shutter and moving onto Phone. Hadn't seen shutter before, definetly has it's moments of creepiness. The finale is on a whole other level though.

Yes you can because it rules

I love [REC]. I also like Jennifer Carpenter but I do like the original film more even though Quarantine is also pretty fun.

I think I remember reading somewhere that most of [REC] was shot on the fly. Meaning the actors did a lot of ad-libbing and the Directors kept a lot of the surprises from the actors.

Going to try to watch as many of my Horror on Blu-Ray until I run out for this Challenge. Definitely going to try and not watch the ones I did last year though.

I have yet another question on categories. For "Takes Place on a Holiday", if the movie lists New Year's Day in it's keywords would it qualify (I'm looking at Cronos)?

Finished watching Zombieland.

Loved the film, though I really hate Jesse Eisenberg.

Any good recommendations for made-for-TV horror movies?

So far I've caught Dark Night of the Scarecrow, Don't Be Afraid of the Dark, The Norliss Tapes, the two Kolchak films and Trilogy of Terror. And Gargoyles is in my Netflix queue.

^ I was curious if the Masters of Horror episodes would count for that.

Are any of the free Roku channels good for the old Universal Monster movies?

My list is going to be pathetic this year. I've got too much shit on my plate this semester.

Somebody's Watching Me (1978) and Don't Go to Sleep (1982) are favorites of mine.

The Woman in Black (1989) mostly lives up to its reputation.

Saw 7 and Mimic. Saw was way over the top gore even for saws standards pushed the gore level. I cant believe this got an R. Really should've been NC-17.

Mimic was just as awesome as when i saw it in theaters. This was the Directors cut on blu.

The She Creature (aka Mermaid Chronicles Part 1: She Creature (2001) (TV), an HBO/Cinemax "Creature Feature" title) is a very good remake of the original AIP film. They did a series of remakes of old AIP films for that program. This is, IMHO, the best of the lot.

There's also Snow White: A Tale of Terror (TV 1997), also for HBO I believe. This is excellent and highly recommended. Very dark telling of Snow White. I'm planning on watching this one for that item.

SyFy Channel did a remake of Children of the Corn in 2009. That's what I'm using for that category.

Thanks for the recommendations!

It's just too bad the networks don't make them like they used to.

I suppose they could. I've always considered them hour long feature-films myself.

Was going to watch The Stand for today's theme, and watched part 1, and then I saw Sy Fy was airing Resident Evil tonight, so I used that for today's theme. Now I'm watching The Killer Shrews.
