Thanks OP. After I watched Black Dynamite, I had my eye on this one and missed the new Amazon price drop. I've switched to blu...but I can't resist this deal and its now ordered.

According to camelcamelcamel, this is lowest price from Amazon since the January 2010 release.

I'm unable to post links (under 30 posts) or I would post the camel and Amazon links.

At AMAZON on Monday Aug. 22 the price dropped to $8 .
It's a good deal for BLACK BELT JONES. Good kung fu action.

They're all terrible movies, though. I didn't even like them when they came out.
I was more a fan of things like SHAFT, TROUBLE MAN, COTTON COMES TO HARLEM and...what else? I remember enjoying MELINDA, but it's not something I necessarily want to see again. In fact, I'm not sure any of these hold up so well today--except maybe for SHAFT.

Y'know, there are some things about the '70s that I'm not nostalgic for.

Yeah, but the black actors do act like men not like thugs of today.

All that does is remind me how awful those films were. Blaxploitation has not aged well at all.

It does show a different kind of black macho that does not exist anymore.
So it can be educational.

Coffy is still as amazing today as it ever has been.

That's more Pam Grier than the genre. Thankfully, they didn't put her in those wide-brimmed hats, ridiculous long coats, polyester suits and platform shoes. In fact, it was best when they didn't put her in anything at all!;)
