Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
I think it will depend on whats going on with Fast Five or if Universal still has DVD Distribution rights for Bridesmaids on DVD. Relativity Media is the distributer, and they have already used Fox to release Take me home Tonight, Season of the Witch and The Warriors way, all which were released in theatres by Universal (I think Lions Gate for Witch) and then released on DVD by Fox.
so Bridesmaids could end up as a Fox title. if thats the case, more then Likely will end up in Sept

I did do some research today, so i dont know how reliable this info is.
but According to inside sources Fast Five and Bridesmaids are both streeting on Sept 6th
however they are also reporting Priest a Week earlier then announced and Thor also for Sept 6th, when infact Thor is 9/27

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
here are some Unconfirmed Dates that are not solid, but are looking like they are filling out the remainder of Aug and Sept
Born to Be wild - 9/20
Water for Elephants - 9/27
Prom - 8/23
The Tree of Life - 9/20
Kung Fu Panda 2 - 10/14
heres the weird thing, i think this is the first year ever for Home Video, that the Summer's first month has been out before November, usually there are holdoffs like Pirates and Thor, until november. Which means that
Begginers
X-men First Class
Midnight in Paris
Judy Moody
Super 8
Green Lantern
Mr. Poppers Penguins
The Art of Getting By
Bad Teacher
Cars 2
will probably fill out late oct and all of november, with some july titles like transformers, Monte Carlo, Larry Crowne, ZooKeeper, Horrible Bosses, Capt America, Friends with Benefits, Cowboys and Aliens, and Smurfs. December will probably just have Harry Potter, Winnie the Pooh, Crazy stupid Love, The Change Up, Rise of the Apes, 30 Minutes or less, The Help, Glee Live, Conan, Spy Kids, and One Day.

Someone on blu-ray.com says Bridesmaids releases on 10/18. Mvieguy, please tell me this isn't true, so that I can stop breaking my wife's china in disgust. 9/6 was already long enough to wait.

I know it's not your decision and it's nice of you to share your info when you get it, but that was the worst post you've ever made. What if I'm dead before October 18th, that's so long from now?

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread
Well, many websites, including thehdroom.com, are currently listing Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides for October 18th, 2011 release. Can someone confirm that?

Well, I can't keep going to the theater every single day to watch the funniest movie EVER made, can I? And what will I do when it's not playing in the theater? Tell me, what will I do?
I can't friggin' believe that it's 113 today, and that we'll be preparing for Halloween before I can get this on blu. Mao and mvieguy, you seem to know a lot of inside stuff, so how 'bout one of you two send me a PM with Kristen Wiig's cell phone number. I'm sure she can get me a screener.
