Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread

so Warner Bros is really pulling out all the big guns for June

True Grit - 6/7

Hall Pass
Red Riding Hood - 6/14

Unknown - 6/21

Sucker Punch - 6/28

wonders what they have in store for July

and I heard Arthur is 7/12

so they still have Born to Be Wild, and Something Borrowed. not to mention Hangover Part II

so I am going on a limb here and say, Arthur will be by itself in July. Followed by Born to Be Wild and Something Borrowed in August, then Hangover II and possibly Greeen Lantern for Sept. Horrible Bosses, Harry Potter 7B in Oct, Crazy stupid love and Final Destination 5 in November, Dolphin Tale by Christmas.

Not sure what they are up to

I'll be honest, With the Exception of the studio i work for, i really have no idea as to how or why dates for certain movies escape studios, then only to turn around and change them.

the date on my desk for Your Highness and Paul is 7/12 however, I would not be supprised that if Paul was 7/12 and your highness is 8/9 only because that would make more sense.

Dylan Dog coming out so fast, doesnt suprise me, it didnt hold up well against Fast Five and Thor. heck I think Prom did better per theatre. and thats My company, but tbh, I think Prom should have went DTD, like Sharpays Faboulous Adventure. but thats just my opinion. i knew it wouldnt have legs. and they were hoping some of that HSM magic would have wore off on it.

oh and I got a fax that Fox has set Take me home tonight and Limitless on DVD for 7/19

However, I was under the impression that Take me home Tonight was Universal. why is Fox releasing it.

Confused I am

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread

Im confused too. But i saw the artwork on your highness with the date so i though it was official. And it does make sense with the theatre release and dvd release. And how terrible dylan dog did in the theatres im not suprized either. And thanks for the dates for limitless and take me home tonight

Re: DVD Talk New-To-DVD Theatrical Release and Discussion Thread

I think you hit the nail on the head, i think it has alot to do with Relativity medias Films. Cause The Warriors way is being distributed by Fox as well, but got released theatrically by Universal.

so I am wondering if that is the pattern for Relativity media, maybe they have a distribution deal with Fox. will look into it

haha, thats so funny, i did a release window comparison with other anchor
bay titles like the crazies to estimate the number of weeks between theatrical
and bluray release dates and i got the 16th of august for scream 4 as a result
using the same math the official announcement should be around july 7th
as for fast five i would be extremely happy if that date sticks!!
fast and furious was also released the last week of july in 2009, however
fast five was released in theaters three weeks later then fast4.
therefore my release date estimate was august 16th for fast5 as well.
really keeping my fingers crossed for late july though and thanks a lot
for your intel!

One question do you guys think that the unrated version of Paul is going to have any nudity? I hope not because unnecessary nudity would just take away my interest in the movie.
