Ugh...so tempted to get this. What was the last thing we heard on the status of an official release?

I was tempted...until I saw all those watermarks over the eps. The Nick 1's...even though it's the Teen Nick 1 doesn't bother me that much. However, that 1 in the top right corner of EVERY ep really irritates the hell out of me.

Not a Nick release or a Shout release, but I thought I should put this on here. Doug's 1st Movie is now on DVD exclusively through the Disney Movie Club.

According to a YouTube poster there is no watermarking.

Wow, that took forever. It's only been on VHS. Too bad I'm not a Disney Movie Club members.

Now only if Disney would release their episodes of Doug on DVD.

He either cropped them or had access to master tapes because the show hasn't aired without a watermark since it initially aired on Nickelodeon before they used network watermarks, which would've been in the early 90s. The quality I saw on his website is almost crystal clear which makes me think he capped them from TeenNick then cropped it.

So is it 'limited time' meaning before Nick shuts him down?
I'd like to get this, but I'd rather get a Shout! official release if its coming down shortly. Guess I should jump on it before it goes away.

Although, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Disney version, if they added the whole series, that would be enough for me to join the club to own those for the compeltist in me.

I bit the bullet and bought the Blu Ray from him. I'll report back when I get it.

I e-mailed Bower and asked if they Blu-ray was high-def and his answer was "Upscales I believe ..or 480p." So, as I would have guessed, the Blu-ray does not have HD content, but it does apparently have more extras and I'm guessing less discs (appears to be one, not sure how many DVDs).

I was thinking that maybe he burns the copies from his original tapes of the episodes. When you're on a show or in a movie, don't they give you copies of it ?

I'd be extremely surprised if this were actually the case.

At any rate, already got a tracking number for my shipment. Hopefully it gets to me by the weekend.

I decided to take the chance on the Blu-Ray since I already have decent-quality versions on DVD as it is, and want to see the Nick Arcade show with Donkeylips and Budnick again.

Received my copy today. Shipped very fast and a pretty good packaging job. DVD came in a slim case. Cover was autographed, along with a small picture of the cast inside the case, also autographed by Bower. A signed 8x10 was also sent. I now have more Michael Bower autographs than I know what to do with it.

In terms of picture quality, it's not great. I didn't get extremely in depth but what I saw wasn't impressive. I probably could have assembled the same collection by hitting a few torrent sites. All that being said, it's pretty cool to have the entire series to watch since they don't seem to be in a big rush to officially release it.

Is it all on one disc? Can you tell if it's cropped?

I got my Blu Ray today. It's all on one disc, it does not appear to be cropped (although I'd have to compare it to one of my off air tapes, which is a little more OCD than even I am comfortable with)

It's all on one standard dvd. Didn't appear to be cropped from what I saw of it.
