Re: 1960s Animation not on dvd?
My two "Holy Grails" are the Ken Snyder series Hot Wheels & Skyhawks which ran on ABC from 1969 to 1971. A Children's Advocacy Group got the FCC to BAN them because thay claimed they were nothing more than Commercials for Hot Wheels Toys and Cessina Aircraft. :( A couple of years ago ago I found a couple of Bootleg DVDs that have a handful of Episodes from these Cartoons, IMO a nice little "Blast from the Past", but not the Complete Series (Which I'd buy in a Heartbeat if they ever become available!) :D

Don't forget The Beatles cartoons - they ran from '65 to '71 according to one source I checked.

I'd love to see The Alvin Show come out in a complete set. As far as I know, only 1 episode has been released.

1967 Fantastic Four
Moby Dick and Mighty Mitor Shaz-zan Atom Ant Secret Squirrel Touche Turtle Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles Lariat Sam Tom Terrific ? Samson and Goliath That octopus who hung out at sea world type park, Squiddly Diddly? Ruff and Ready Warner Archive seems to be ignoring the 60s stuff for some reason. Then there are the season of all new episodes of 60s shows made in the 70s for Jonny Quest and Herculoids, maybe others. |

Re: 1960s Animation not on dvd?
The Mighty Heroes
That, along with a Emmy winning "After School Special" Last of the Curlews from '72, are at the top of my cartoon want list. Granted, LotC tops the two as practically holy grail level, The Mighty Heroes is just good goofy nostalgia fun. |

Here's a List of Saturday Morning Cartoons and Live-Action Shows I'd like to see released:
1. Filmation The Adventures of Tarzan Fantastic Voyage The Hardy Boys Journey to the Center of the Earth Lassie's Rescue Rangers Shazam! (Live-Action) Word is this goes unreleased because of a Legal Issue simular to the one that keeps the 1966 Batman from being released!:grumble: 2. Hanna-Barbera Adventures of Gulliver The Adventures of Huck Finn Devlin Sealab 2020 3. Others Barrier Reef Run Joe, Run! There was a rumor that this one WAS going to be released a couple of years ago. What Happened? Westwind Korg 70,000 BC |

The don't sell Spider-man 60's cartoons anymore. I still have the VHS tapes and watch them occasionally. The brilliance of Jack Kirby's artwork still makes me smile - even if they are just 'moved around a bit' in the cartoon (if you have seen these then you know what I am talking about). I would think Stan Lee would be instrumental in getting these released.. |

They are good decent transfers. |
