PBS "South Pacific" on DVD
 

I missed it when it was broadcast a month or so ago. Any news on it being available on DVD?
I wish more broadway shows were.

I apologize again for not posting it as a question. If I saw it the way I listed, I'd be jumping for joy thinking it was now available.

And GoBear, I can't watch YouTube because it takes up too much of my bandwidth. Thanks anyway.

You should just program your DVR for great performances all episodes or not just new ones. They replay these programs.

Not to be a downer, but it probably won't be. It was broadcast on "Live from Lincoln Center" and those broadcasts are rarely, if ever, released to home video

Well then, does anbody here have a taped copy they would be willing to let me borrow and make a copy (for my own enjoyment, of course!)?

I'd be happy to send a new blank tape or recordable DVD for their trouble and assuming they were not planning on keeping it.

I had no idea that even the Lincoln Center production was taped and broadcast - crap! I should pay more attention to what's being shown on PBS' Great Performances.

I saw it listed in the Sunday newspaper for that night's broadcast but unfortunately didn't make it home from work in time to tape it.

The entire Lincoln Center broadcast of South Pacific is on YouTube right now.

BTW, you owe it to yourself to watch the Patrick Stewart version of Macbeth that was broadcast on PBS. Un-freaking-believably awesome. Easily the best portrayal of the over-ambitious Thane of Cawdor I've ever seen.
