I had a Sony Blu-Ray player (gave it to my crazy ex-girlfriend) that responded to those zoom flags, none of my current players do. It cut off the subtitles when zooming anyways.

Well, I was at Walmart earlier and I decided to grab this because at this point it's about settling a grudge and it's actually 16x9. Just watched a little bit of the opening, it looks good but definitely 16x9. It's copyrighted 2021 so they might have started slipping it into the supply chain.
