I suppose horror is in the eye of the beholder or, at least for this challenge, IMDB which list this as horror / mystery / drama. I would add it under the genre, personally then again I include Eraserhead in the mold as well.

Night of the Living Dead.

From her official Facebook fan page:

"Elvira's Movie Macabre begins this Friday (2am) and reruns again on Sunday (1am) with Elvira hosting Night Of The Living Dead!
Click the link below to see all local TV station listings/times. For cable/satellite viewers, it will air on station THIS!TV
FYI - We are having issues with guides listing ONLY THE MOVIE TITLE and NOT "Elvira's Movie Macabre", so look for "Night Of The Living Dead" in all listings!***"

I recommend Call of Cthulhu, it's a great throwback to silent films using Lovecraft mythos. Check it out if you can. Thanks for reminding me, Noirfan.

Thanks. I don't see Night of the Living Dead on either of the schedules I checked, but it is a THIS!TV station so they should be showing it.

Just re-activated my netflix account that I canceled a couple months back, and upped the number of dvd's I'm getting. Starting the stockpiling of burned discs to watch in october when the first batch shows up tomorrow.

Going through icheckmoves and listsofbests right now to fill up the Queue.

If there are still slots on the subset list Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985) might be an accessible option and would satisfy the Robert Englund check-list item.

Personally I'm planning a Nightmare on Elm Street marathon (it's ambitious but thinking of not sleeping till I've seen them all) and will try to prompt some discussion on these films regardless of subset inclusion.

Re: 100 Movies. 31 Days. The 6th Annual "October Horror Movie Challenge" (10/1 - 10/3

I've been holding off any horror movie watching these past few weeks leading up to the challenge so that i'll be good and ready to do a lot of horror watching when the challenge starts. It's been eating me up too, I keep thinking about putting in a Wolfman or something disc in the player and i have to stop myself until the 1st. It's like i'm in the AA of horror movie watching.

Are you also watching the Never Sleep Again documentary? That's another four hours (plus extras) right there. I was planning on watching all of the films as well, plus that doc. It's too bad Netflix won't carry the remake until November.

Why is Netflix delayed in carrying the remake? Hopefully it will be cheaply accessible through Redbox.

I think I have to watch Never Sleep Again, I hadn't realized it was 4 hours long. The documentary seems segmented so maybe I'll split it up between movies and watch a fraction in advance of each film.

I'm still planning to segue from the Criterion Challenge to the Horror Challenge with Bram Stoker's Dracula.

Sisters or The Devil and Daniel Webster because of the Criterion challenge.
